Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang peningkatan kemampuan kognitif, keterampilan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan menulis siswa sebagai dampak implementasi Non Tradisional Writing Task yang disisipkan pada model Interactive Lecture Demonstration (ILD), serta hubungan antara kualitas tulisan siswa dengan kemampuan kognitif dan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Pre Experiment dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Penelitian ini dilakukan disalah satu Madrasah Aliyah Negeri di Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan kognitif dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa secara umum meningkat dengan kategori peningkatan sedang. Terdapat peningkatan kualitas tulisan siswa serta hubungan antara kualitas tulisan dengan kemampuan kognitif dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan hubungan yang rendah. Kata kunci : non tradisional writing task, model interactive lecture demonstration, kemampuan kognitif, keterampilan berpikir kritis, keterampilan menulis, metode pre-eksperimental, This research aims to gain an overview about the improvement of cognitive skills, critical thinking skills and student writing skills as the impact of Non Traditional Writing Taskimplementation inserted on the Interactive Lecture Demonstration model, as well as the relationship between students' writing quality with cognitive ability and critical thinking skills. The method used in this research is Pre Experimental method with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was conducted in one of the country's madrasah in Jakarta. The results of the study showed that students' cognitive abilities and critical thinking skills generally improved with moderate improvement categories. There is an increase in writing quality and there was a correlation between writing quality with cognitive abilities and critical thinking skills of students with a low degree relationship.
