Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perilaku peserta didik yang menerima materi tentang sex education ternyata tidak menerapkan pendidikan seks di dalam kehidupan sehari-harinya seperti ketika peserta didik berpacaran mereka cenderung meminta kepada pacarnya atau lawan jenis untuk bergandengan tangan, dirangkul, dipeluk, bahkan sampai dicium. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui persepsi peserta didik tentang sex education dalam program Pusat Informasi dan Konseling Remaja (PIk R). Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan populasi peserta didik yang menerima materi sex education sebanyak 442 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tujuan sex education meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang dampak perilaku penyimpangan seksual, materi tentang sex education mengenai perawatan organ reproduksi dari aspek fisik dapat dipahami dengan baik oleh peserta didik, namun pada bagian penggunaan obat pembersih kewanitaan kurang dipahami oleh peserta didik, materi sex education dari aspek mental pada bagian hubungan seks pranikah melanggar norma dan menurut agama hal tersebut dosa dapat dipahami dengan baik oleh peserta didik, metode seminar yang digunakan dalam menyampaikan materi sex education dari para ahli diminati oleh peserta didik, media power point membuat peserta didik tertarik melihat dan membacanya, serta hasil sex education yaitu peserta didik dapat menunda pernikahan dini dan menghargai atau menghormati diri sendiri dengan cara melakukan pergaulan yang sewajarnya tidak berlebihan. Saran untuk Pusat Informasi dan Konseling Remaja (PIK R) lebih menggalakan pelaksanaan Program PIK R di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) khususnya sex education dengan cara mengadakan seminar dengan mengundang para ahli sebagai narasumber, mengadakan penyuluhan penggunaan metode yang lebih efektif dalam penyuluhan sex education. Permasalahan penelitian yang disarankan yaitu Peningkatan Pengetahuan Remaja Tentang Kesehatan Reproduksi yang Mempengaruhi Pada “Keengganan” Memasuki Pergaulan Bebas.----------The background of this study is the behavior of students who get take sex education and do not apply the sex education in their daily life. For example, when students are dating, they tend to ask their partner to hold hands, embrace, hug and even kiss. The study was aimed at determining the perception of students about sex education in Youth Information and Counseling Center (PIK R - Pusat Informasi dan Konseling Remaja). The method used was a descriptive method with the population of 442 students who take sex education. The results showed that sex education can improve the knowledge about the impact of sexual deviation. The students can also understand well the material on reproductive organs care from the physical aspects. However, the material on the use of feminine wash products was insufficiently understood. From the mental aspects, the students can understand well that premarital sex is violating the norm and religiously not acceptable. The students were interested in the seminar method used by experts in delivering the sex education, as well as the use power point as the media. Another outcome of sex education included the awareness of the students in avoiding early-age marriage and appreciating or respecting themselves by practicing appropriate social interactions. An advice for Youth Information and Counseling Center (PIK R) would be to promote the implementation of PIK R Programs in Junior High Schools, especially on sex education, by holding seminars with experts as the resource persons and counseling on sex education with more effective methods. The suggested research problem includes the Impact of Youth’s Better Knowledge About Reproductive Health on their "Reluctance" in Free Sex.
