Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Penerapan Metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam Pembelajaran Sejarah untuk Menumbuhkan Minat Menulis Narasi Sejarah: Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di Kelas MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 8 Bandung”. Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan penerapan metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dimana kegiatan ini berisi serangkaian kegiatan siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah untuk menumbuhkan minat menulis narasi sejarah siswa. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menumbuhkan minat menulis narasi sejarah siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Minat menulis narasi sejarah siswa rendah terlihat dari hasil evaluasi sejarah dan tugas menulis yang diberikan oleh guru. Kebanyakan dari mereka ketika diberi tugas menulis oleh guru, mereka hanya copy paste saja dari internet tanpa menuangkan gagasan yang dimilikinya. Hal tersebut menjadikan tugas yang diberikan oleh guru menjadi kurang bermakna. Untuk itu peneliti mencoba melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan menumbuhkan minat menulis narasi sejarah siswa. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan menggunakan desain Kemmis dan Taggart. Desain model ini memiliki beberapa tahapan diantaranya plan (perencanaan), act (pelaksanaan), observe (observasi), dan reflect (refleksi). Tindakan tersebut dilakukan sebanyak 3 kali karena pada tindakan tiga minat menulis narasi sejarah siswa sudah tinggi. Selain itu teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah penugasan, observasi, dan wawancara. Sedangkan alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah catatan lapangan, pedoman observasi, pedoman wawancara dan Lembar Kerja Siswa. Berdasarkan pada penelitian ini, penerapan metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam pembelajaran sejarah dapat menumbuhkan minat menulis narasi sejarah di kelas XI MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 8 Bandung dengan peningkatan presentase disetiap siklusnya. Namun terdapat beberapa kendala selama dilaksanakannya penelitian ini terutama terbatasnya sumber informasi yang digunakan oleh siswa selama pembelajaran di kelas dan waktu pembelajaran ketika menerapkan metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC).----------Integrated Reading and Compotition, Pembelajaran Sejarah This Research paper entitled “The Application of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) methods in Learning History to foster interest in writing historical narratives: Classrom Action Research in class XI MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 8 Bandung”. This research related to application of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) methods where this activity is a series of student`s activity in learning history to foster interest in writing a student’s history narrative. The aim from this research is to foster interest in writing a student’s history narrative in learning history. The student’s foster interest in writing historical narratives can be said was low seen from student’s evaluation result and writing assignments given by the teacher. Most of them when given the task of writing by the teacher, They just copy and paste it from the internet whithout pouring ideas that have. It makes the task given by the teacher becomes less meaningful. For that, writer tried to do this research with purpose to foster interest in writing a student’s history narrative. The method of this research is Classroom Action Research with Kemmis and Taggart desain. This desain has several act steps such as plan, act, observe and reflect. The action in done 3 times, because in the third act interst in writing narratives history of students is already high. Besides that, data collecting technique that used in this research were assigment, observe, and interview. While the data collecting tools were interview guidelines, field note, observe guidelines and student’s worksheet. Based on this research Application of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) methods in Learning History can foster interest in writing historical narratives in class XI MIPA 4 SMA 8 Bandung with the increasing point in every cycle. However, there were several obstacles during this research especially the limited sources of information that students use during learning process in class and learning time when applying the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) methods .
