Abstract

Rendahnya skor rata-rata siswa Indonesia pada hasil studi PISA di bidang sains disebabkan oleh pembelajaran sains disekolah yang terlalu teoritis. Dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran kimia di sekolah, diperlukan pembelajaran yang berbasis konteks. Penerapan pembelajaran berbasis konteks menuntut adanya perangkat pembelajaran yang sesuai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa multimedia pembelajaran pada materi sifat dan perubahan dengan menggunakan konteks klasifikasi material yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian Desain dan Pengembangan (Design and Developmen Methods) dengan Model Rekonstruksi Pendidikan (Model of Educational Reconstruction). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah human instrument yang dituangkan dalam catatan pengembangan multimedia, lembar validasi indikator dan tujuan pembelajaran, lembar penilaian ahli terhadap multimedia dan angket tanggapan siswa. Pengembangan multimedia dalam penelitian ini mengadaptasi model ADDIE (Analysis, Desain, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Karakteristik multimedia pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan yaitu : (1) sesuai dengan aspek kompetensi dan sikap (PISA) 2015, (2) mengandung domain literasi kimia dengan penekanan ada pada domain kimia dalam konteks, (3) sesuai dengan prinsip pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran, (4) tahapan pembelajaran dalam multimedia sesuai dengan tahapan pembelajaran Literasi Sains dan Teknologi (STL). Berdasarkan hasil penilaian ahli diketahui bahwa multimedia telah layak dari segi desain instruksional dan konseptual maupun dari segi desain grafis dan antar muka. Hasil ujicoba terbatas menunjukkan bahwa hampir seluruh siswa (88,27%) termotivasi belajar dengan menggunakan multimedia ini, (88,75%) dapat mengontrol multimedia dengan sangat baik dan memberikan tanggapan yang baik terhadap multimedia pembelajaran. ABSTRACT The low average score of Indonesian students on the results of the PISA study in science is caused by too theoretical science learning. In an effort to improve the quality of chemistry learning in schools, context-based learning is required. Implementation of context-based learning demands an appropriate learning tools. The aim of this study was to produce multimedia learning of properties and changes of matter by using clasification of material context aimed at increasing student’s science literacy. The research method used was Design and Development Methods with Model of Educational Reconstruction. The instruments used was human instrument which are outlined in multimedia development record, validation sheet of indicator and learning objectives, assessment sheet of experts on multimedia and student questionnaire responses. Multimedia development in this research adapted the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Characteristics of multimedia learning that have been developed are: (1) in accordance with the competence and attitude (PISA) 2015 aspects, (2) contain chemical literacy domains with emphasis on the chemical domain in context, (3) in accordance with the principles of multimedia learning development, (4) ) phase of learning in multimedia accordance to the phase of Science and Technology Literacy (STL). Based on the results of expert assessment, it is known that the multimedia has been feasible in terms of instructional and conceptual design as well as in terms of graphic design and interface. The results of limited trials show that almost all students (88.27%) are motivated to learn by using this multimedia, (88.75%) can control multimedia very well and provide good responses to multimedia learning.
