Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan tujuan pendidikan karakter berdasarkan Character First Education, implementasinya, serta hambatan dan solusi dalam mengimplementasikan CFE. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus., yaitu Tujuan implementasi Character First Education adalah untuk membantu peserta didik memahami makna dari setiap kualitas karakter, membantu para guru memahami bagaimana mengajarkan setiap karakter kepada anak, memberikan langkah-langkah praktis dan aplikatif untuk diterapkan peserta didik dalam kegiatan sehari-hari baik di lingkungan sekolah, di rumah, maupun di lingkungan masyarakat, membantu setiap peserta didik mengenali kualitas karakter dari alam, serta menyajikan kisah historis tokoh-tokoh teladan yang memiliki kualitas karakter sesuai dengan Character First Education. Implementasi Character First Education berjalan dengan baik melalui proses belajar mengajar, melalui budaya sekolah, dan melalui program-program sekolah. Implikasi dari Character First Education terhadap perkembangan karakter peserta didik adalah dapat memahami dan melatih setiap karakter dengan cara yang aplikatif baik di sekolah, di rumah, atau di lingkungan masyarakat. Hambatan adalah inkonsistensi. Guru sibuk dengan hal akademis, prinsip karakter terabaikan. Solusinya diadakan teacher’s training, komunikasi yang baik kepada orangtua peserta didik, Kata Kunci : Pendidikan Karakter, Character First Education This study aims to describe character education objectives based on Character First Education, its implementation, as well as constraints and solutions in implementing CFE. The research uses a qualitative approach with case study method. The objective of Character First Education implementation is to help learners understand the meaning of each character qualities, to help teachers understand how to teach each character to the child, to provide practical and applicable steps to apply learners In everyday activities both in the school environment, at home, and in the community environment, helping each learner to recognize the character qualities of nature, as well as presenting the historical story of exemplary characters who have character qualities in accordance with Character First Education. Character First Education implementation works well through teaching and learning, through school culture, and through school programs. The implications of Character First Education on the character development of learners are able to understand and train each character in an applicable way either in school, at home, or in the community. Obstacles are inconsistencies. Master is busy with academic stuff, the principle of neglected character. The solution is held teacher's training, good communication to parents’ learners.
