Abstract
Skripsi ini mengambil judul “Pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa SMA pada Materi Hidrolisis Garam”. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas XI IPA salah satu SMA swasta di Bandung yang terdiri atas 35 siswa kelompok eksperimen dan 34 siswa kelompok kontrol. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep siswa SMA melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Data penelitian diambil dengan melalui tes tertulis pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan N-Gain sebesar 78%. Keterampilan berpikir kritis yang dominan dikuasai oleh siswa yaitu keterampilan mengobservasi dan mempertimbangkan hasil observasi (N-Gain = 88%), serta yang kurang dikuasai siswa yaitu keterampilan mempertimbangkan kredibilitas (kriteria) sumber (N-Gain = 57%). Sementara itu, peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa terjadi sebesar 78% yang tergolong kriteria tinggi. Label konsep yang dominan dikuasai oleh siswa yaitu pada konsep hidrolisis total (N-Gain = 94%), dan yang kurang dikuasai oleh siswa yaitu pada konsep pH (N-Gain = 49%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep untuk keseluruhan siswa tergolong tinggi. Penelitian ini diharapkan untuk dapat memberikan gambaran secara faktual dan akurat mengenai keefektifan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep siswa SMA pada materi hidrolisis garam.----------This Essay is takes the title “Guided Inquiry Learning to Improve the Critical Thinking Skills Of High School Students on Salt Hydrolysis Topics”. The research was carried put in class XI is one of high school in Bandung that consists of 35 students experiment and 34 students a control group. The main purpose of this research is to improve the critical thinking skills and a mastery of the concept of high school students through the guided inquiry learning model. The research method used was quasi experiment with pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Data of this study were taken through a multiple choice written test. The results showed that guided inquiry learning improve students’ critical thinking skills with 78% N-Gain. The indicators of critical thinking skills mastery by students is observations and judgment the observations results (N-Gain = 88%), as well the indicators of critical thinking skills that is less mastery by students is consider the credibility (criteria) of a source (N-Gain = 57%). Meanwhile, the increased students’ mastery of the concept going on by 78% of the considered high criterion. The concept that’s mastery by students on the concept of hydrolysis (NGain = 94%), and less mastery by students on the concept of pH (N-Gain = 49%). Based on the research result, in general it can be concluded that the increase in critical thinking skills and mastery of the concept for all students is high. The study is expected to be able to give you a sense of the factual and accurate about the effectiveness of the guided inquiry learning as an alternative social interactions that can improve critical thinking skills and mastery of the concept of a high school student on the hydrolysis of salt.
