Abstract

Era globalisasi saat ini menuntut masyarakat untuk berkompetitif. Masyarakat harus mampu bersaing dengan bangsa-bangsa lain di dunia. Perkembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Tekhnologi (IPTEK) menjadi kunci menuju gerbang dunia yang luas. Kemudahan dan kebebasan menjadi sajian yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kehidupan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan penguatan terhadap jati diri bangsa melalui edukasi wisata sejarah Situs Purbakala Cipari di Kabupaten Kuningan. Melalui edukasi wisata yang bersifat sejarah dengan nilai-nilai dan kebudayaan didalamnya mengarahkan masyarakat memahami jati diri nya sebagai bangsa Indonesia yang menjunjung tinggi kesatuan dan persatuan. Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Langkah-langkah penelitian digunakan dengan menentukan jenis data, sumber data, tekhnik pengumpulan data dan tekhnik analisis data. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu, Situs Purbakala Cipari memiliki kebudayaan yang berwujud benda-benda masa pra sejarah dan nilai-nilai didalamnya yang sesuai dengan jati diri masyarakat, khususnya masyarakat indonesia. kesimpulan umum yang dapat diambil dalam penelitian ini yaitu, Situs Purbakala Cipari telah berkontribusi dalam menunjang sarana edukasi bagi masyarakat dan sebagai bagian dari peninggalan pra sejarah berperan besar dalam penguatan jati diri bangsa. Kata kunci: Jati diri bangsa, Edukasi wisata, Situs Purbakala Cipari;--- This globalization era demands the society to be competitive. The society should be able to compete with other countries in the world. The development of science and technology become the keys in facing the gate of the big world. The access of practicality and freedom become the offerings which are inseparable from the society’s life. This study is aimed to strengthen national identity through tour education Purbakala Cipari archaeological site in Kuningan regency. Through tour education which contains historical and cultural values, it will lead the citizen to understand their identity as Indonesian which holds unity in the high self esteem. The study used qualitative as the approach and descriptive as the methodology. The data was obtained through observation, interview, documentation study and literature review. The research procedures were deciding the types of data, sources of the data, data collection procedure and data analysis technique. The result of the study showed Pubakala Cipari archaeological site has cultures depicted by prehistory objects and the values on them which appropriate with citizen’s identity, especially Indonesian. The general conclusion which can be taken from the study is Purbakala Cipari has been contributed in facilitating an education field for the society and as an inheritance of prehistory it has a big role in strengthening national identity.
