Abstract

Lingkungan keluarga merupakan lingkungan yang sangat penting dan berpengaruh bagi perkembangan anak tunanetra. Hal ini mengandung makna bahwa orang tua memiliki peran untuk mengembangakan kemandirian yang ada pada anak. Asrama Kenari Panti Sosial Bina Netra Wyata Guna Bandung. Asrama Kenari sama halnya seperti lingkungan rumah karena pembimbing asrama berperan sebagai orang tua. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui peran pembimbing asrama dalam mengembangkan kemandirian kebersihan diri anak tunanetra di Asrama Kenari Panti Sosial Bina Netra. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilaksanakan secara trianggulasi yang merupakan gabungan dari observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, kemudian data-data tersebut dianalisis sehingga mendapatkan temuantemuan hasil penelitian. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian menunjukan bahwa peran pembimbing Asrama Kenari di Panti Sosial Bina Netra Wyata Guna Bandung sama hal nya dengan orang tua di rumah karena melalui bimbingan dan pengajaran kebersihan diri anak Asrama Kenari semakin baik dari sebelumnya. Kemandirian kebersihan diri anak tunanetra sudah cukup bagus, hal ini dikarenakan setiap anak tidak perlu lagi harus menunggu perintah dari pembimbing asrama karena anak-anak sudah memiliki inisiatif untuk menjaga kebersihan dirinya sendiri. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disarankan kepada pembimbing asrama supaya mengembangkan kemandirian kebersihan diri dengan memberikan pelatihan secara terjadwal agar pembimbing asrama mengetahui anak yang lebih membutuhkan bimbingan kebersihan diri karena kebersihan diri dapat menjadi gambaran seseorang di dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat.----------Family environment is a very important and influential environment for the development of children with visual impairment. Asrama Kenari Panti Sosial Bina Netra Wyata Guna Bandung. Asrama Kenari is the same as the home environment because the boarding counselor plays a role as a parent. The purpose of this study is to know the role of dormitories in developing selfreliance of children with visual impairment in Asrama Kenari Panti Sosial Bina Netra. The research method used is descriptive method through qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are conducted in triangulation which is a combination of observation, interview and documentation, Then the data is analyzed so as to get the findings of research results. Based on the research findings show that the role of mentor Asrama Kenari Panti Sosial Bina Netra Wyata Guna Bandung the same thing with parents at home because through the guidance and teaching of children's self-cleaning Hostel Kenari better than ever. Self-reliance of children with visual impairment is good enough, this is because every child no longer have to wait for orders from the boarding coach because the children already have the initiative to maintain their own hygiene. Based on the results of the study suggested to the boarding counselor to develop self-hygiene independence by providing scheduled training so that the boarding counselors know children who need more guidance of personal hygiene because personal hygiene can be a picture of a person in the life of society.
