Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini bahwa toilet training merupakan salah satu tugas perkembangan yang harus dicapai pada masa toddler. Pada masa toddler anak harus dibiasakan untuk melakukan toilet training sehingga anak mampu BAB/BAK di toilet, mampu membersihkan kotorannya sendiri, mampu membuka dan memakai kembali celananya sendiri, oleh karena itu pengasuh harus melakukan upaya memberikan bimbingan toilet training sejak dini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memperoleh data mengenai upaya pengasuh dalam membimbing toilet training, berkaitan dengan aspek kesiapan fisik dan kesiapan mental. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pengasuh Daycare Taman Isola UPI sebanyak 14 orang dan pengasuh Daycare Darut Tauhid sebanyak 12 orang. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu sampel total yaitu seluruh pengasuh yang ada di Daycare Taman Isola UPI dan Daycare Darut Tauhid berjumlah 26 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya yang dilakukan pengasuh dalam membimbing toilet training yaitu dengan cara mengajak, membujuk, mengajarkan, melatih, memberi contoh dan menemani. Upaya yang dilakukan termasuk dalam teknik lisan dan teknik modelling. Saran ditujukan untuk pengasuh diharapkan dapat mempertahankan yang telah dilakukan dalam membimbing toilet training, Saran untuk daycare diharapkan dapat memfasilitasi dalam meningkatkan pelayanan dalam membimbing toilet training bagi anak usia toddler dengan cara memberikan bimbingan, pengarahan kepada pengasuh dan mengikutsertakan pengasuh dalam pelatihan baby sitter. The purpose of this research was to obtain data about the nanny's efforts in guiding the toilet training, with regard to aspects of the readiness of the physical and mental readiness. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods. The population in this research is the sitter Daycare Taman Isola UPI as many as 14 people and caregivers Daycare Darut Unity as much as 12 people. A sample of the total sample of all the caregivers in Daycare Taman Isola UPI and Daycare Darut Tauhid totalling 26 people. The results showed that the efforts made in guiding caregivers toilet training by way of solicitation, cajoling, teach, train, give examples and accompanying. The efforts made included in oral techniques and modelling techniques. The advice is intended for caregivers are expected to maintain he has done in guiding the toilet training, advice for daycare expected can facilitate in improving services in guiding the toilet training for children aged toddler with a means of providing guidance, direction to the caregivers and the caregivers included in the training of baby sitter.
