Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk merancang media interpretasi non-personal berdasarkan preferensi dan persepsi pengunjung mengenai media interpretasi non-personal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Dalam pendekatan kuantitatif, statistik deskriptif digunakan untuk menganalisis data primer mengenai karakteristik pengunjung, preferensi wisatawan mengena daya tarik wisata, persepsi wisatawan mengenai sejarah di Cagar Alam Pantai Santolo dan media interpretasi non-personal melalui kuisioner. Populasi dalam penelitian ini diambil dari jumlah pengunjung Pantai Santolo selama lima tahun terakhir dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 responden dari hasil perhitungan slovin. Pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan instrument penelitian berupa pedoman wawancara dan pedoman observasi untuk mengumpulkan data mengenai sejarah kawasan dan sumber daya interpretasi. Perencanaan interpretasi menurut Veverka (1998) digunakan untuk menganalisis semua data yang dikumpulkan. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian, tema yang diambil dari setiap sumber daya interpretasi adalah terkait sejarahnya. Media interpretasi non-personal yang menjadi pilihan pengunjung di Cagar Alam Pantai Santolo adalah papan informasi, brosur dan poster. Papan informasi, terkait sejarah Cagar Alam Pantai Santolo, sejarah Goa Masigit Sela dan sejarah peristiwa yang pernah terjadi. Untuk brosur, direncanakan akan dibuat dalam satu lembar kertas dengan empat lipatan yang berisikan mengenai informasi lokasi Cagar Alam Pantai Santolo, fasilitas dan sejarah Cagar Alam Pantai Santolo. Poster, penulis akan melakukan membuat poster dengan semenarik mungkin dan isinya mengenai isu yang ada di Cagar Alam Pantai Santolo dengan singkat. Rekomendasinya, untuk lebih memudahkan dalam memberitahukan informasi kepada pengunjung terkait kawasan, pengelola dapat membuat web resmi terkait kawasan Cagar Alam Pantai Santolo menggunkan aplikasi QR Cord. The objective of this study was to design non-personal interpretation media based on preference and perceptionof visitors on non-personal interpretation media. The study was conducted employing descriptive method with quantitative and qualitative approach. In quatitative approach desctiptive statistics was used to analyze the primary data of visitors’s characteristics, visitors’s preferences of tourist attraction, visitor’s perceptions of history of the place and visitors’ perceptions of non-personal interpretation media collected through questionnaire. The population in this study was the number of visitors’ Santolo Beach nature reserve over the last five years with total sample as many as 100 of respondentscalculated by Slovin formula. The qualitative approach use the instrument of interview guidelines and observation guidelines to collect the primary data of history of the place and sources of interpretation. Planning interpretation by Veverka (1998) was used to analyze all collected data. Based on the data collected, the theme from sources of interpretatios are connected to its history. Non-personal interpretation information board, brochures and poster. Information board will give information relate to the history of Nature Reserve Santolo Beach, the history of Goa Masigit Sela, and history of events that ever happened. Brochures are planning to be made single sheet of paper with four fold that contains location information of Santolo Beach Nature Reserve. Posters, writers will do throw the poster with as interesting as possible and the contents of the issue that exist in the nature reserve Santolo Beach. It is recommended, to further ease in divulge information related to visitors area, the managers can make official website of Nature Reserve Santolo Beach using the application of QR Cord.
