Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul “Peningkatan Kemampuan Komunikasi dan Self-Regulated Learning Siswa SMP Menggunakan Model Reciprocal Teaching dalam Pembelajaran Matematika”. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self-regulated learning siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa. (2) untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kemampuan komunikasi matematis dengan self-regulated learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol tidak ekuivalen (Non Equivalent Control Group Design) dan populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di salah satu Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di Kota Bandung tahun ajaran 2016/2017 dengan sampel sebanyak dua kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes dan instrumen non tes (berupa angket dan lembar observasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan kemampuan self-regulated learning siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model reciprocal teaching lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran biasa. (2) Tidak terdapat hubungan/ pengaruh yang signifikan antara kemampuan komunikasi matematis dengan self-regulated learning siswa. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis, Kemampuan Self-Regulated Learning, Reciprocal Teaching. ABSTRACT A research with “The Enhancement of Mathemcatical Communication Ability and Self-Regulated of Junior High School Student using Reciprocal Teaching Model in Mathematics Learning” as a title. The purposes of this research are, (1) To analyze the enhancement of mathematical communication ability and student’s self-regulated learning that acquiring reciprocal teaching learning model and the student that acquiring conventional learning. (2) To analyze the connection between mathematical communication ability with self-regulated learning. The methods of this research is quasi-experiment with non equivalent control group design and the population of this research is all of the 8th grade student at one of the Junior High School in Bandung year 2016/2017 with two classes as the sample. The instruments that used in this research are test instrument and non-test instrument (questionnaire and observation paper). The results of this research show that: 1) The enhancement of mathematical communication ability and self-regulated learning of student that acquiring learning with reciprocal teaching model is better than a student that acquiring conventional learning. (2) There’s no significant connection/influence between mathematical communicate ability and student’s self-regulated learning.
