Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penerapan media playdough terhadap peningkatan kemampuan motorik halus peserta didik tunanetra kelas III di SLB N A Bandung dengan subjek berinisial BN. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan Single Subject Research (SSR) atau penelitian subjek tunggal menggunakan desain A-B-A yang memiliki tiga fase Baseline-1 (A-1), intervensi (B) dan Baseline-2 (A2). Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media playdough dapat meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus dalam pra-menulis Braille, dilihat dari peningkatan mean level. Persentase mean level kemampuan subjek BN mengalami peningkatan dari 49,3% pada fase Baseline-1 (A-1) menjadi 84,3% pada fase intervensi. Fase baseline-2 (A-2) meningkat menjadi 70,8%, dengan kata lain media tersebut memberikan pengaruh. Media playdough ini dapat melatih motorik halus peserta didik dan membuat jari-jemari peserta didik lentur sehingga tidak kaku dalam memegang pen. Setelah dilakukan penelitian dapat disarankan agar menjadi bahan pertimbangan oleh guru untuk menggunakan media playdough dalam pembelajaran, tentunya tidak hanya untuk kemampuan motorik halus, tetapi dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan lain seperti pengenalan bentuk geometri, pengenalan warna, dan lain-lain. ------------ The purpose of this research is to know the extent of the application of media playdough to increased fine motor learners who are blind in class III SLB N A Bandung. Research methods used in this study Single Subject Research (SSR) or single-subject research design using the A-B-A that have a Baseline-three-phase 1 (a-1), intervention (B) and Baseline-2 (A2). Research results can be concluded that a playdough media can improve fine motor ability in writing Braille, as seen from the increase of the mean level. A percentage of the mean level of the ability of the subject BN increase from 49.3% in the Baseline phase-1 (A-1) be 84.3% in the intervention phase. Baseline phase-2 (A-2) increased to 70.8%, in other words the media exert influence. This playdough media fine motor can train the learners and make fingers or toes learners pliable so as not stiffly in a holding pen. Research can be done after it is recommended that the subject of consideration by the teachers to use the media in learning, playdough is certainly not just for fine motor ability, but can be used to develop other capabilities such as introduction to geometric shapes, the introduction of color, and others.
