Abstract

Skrip kooperatif merupakan metode yang bertujuan untuk membantu siswa berpikir secara sistematis dan berkonsentrasi pada materi pelajaran. Siswa juga dilatih untuk saling bekerja sama satu sama lain dalam suasana yang menyenangkan, berani mengajukan pendapat, dan menerima pendapat lain untuk menciptakan wawasan baru. Skrip kooperatif juga memungkinkan siswa untuk menemukan ide-ide pokok dari gagasan besar yang disampaikan oleh guru. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi keingintahuan peneliti terhadap keefektifan metode skrip kooperatif yang diaplikasikan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa sebelum menerapkan metode skrip kooperatif, menjelaskan pengaruh metode skrip kooperatif terhadap pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi, dan menunjukkan keefektifan metode skrip kooperatif dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Berdasarkan penghitungan uji hipotesis dengan df = 64, diperoleh hasil to = 6,657 > t0,05(64) = 1,670. Dengan kata lain, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi di kelas eksperimen dan di kelas kontrol setelah kelas eksperimen mendapatkan perlakuan metode skrip kooperatif dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Artinya, metode skrip kooperatif efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. ----------- Cooperative script can be defined as a method whose aim is to help students think systematically and focus on the given learning material. The students were also taught to cooperate respectively in lovely atmosphere, to offer an opinion and to accept others’ opinion as it can gain newly knowledge. The cooperative script was believed to assist students to find the gist of what was delivered by the teacher in the classroom. The present study was motivated by the author’s eagerness to investigate the effectiveness of implementing the script in writing explanatory text. This research was aimed to explain the ability to write explanatory text of students before applying cooperative script method, explaining the effect of cooperative script method on writing explanatory text, and showing the effectiveness of cooperative script method in explanatory text writing. The study employed quasi experimental study with the design of pretest-posttest control group. According to hypothesis test with df = 64, the research showed to = 6,657 > t0,05(64) = 1,670. Regarding this, there was a significant difference between the ability in writing explanatory text at experimental class and the capability at controlled class, after being given the treatment, including applicating the cooperative script. Hence, it can be concluded that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Consequently, the cooperative script method was really effective to be used in writing explanatory text.
