Abstract
Hiperlipidemia merupakan suatu kondisi dengan kadar lipid yang tinggi dalam darah, ditandai dengan peningkatan kadar kolesterol total, trigliserida, Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) dan penurunan High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya penyakit jantung koroner. Kulit buah naga merah (Hylocereus polyrhizus) memiliki senyawa bioaktif yang berperan dalam memperbaiki kadar lipid darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tepung kulit buah naga merah terhadap penurunan kadar kolesterol total, trigliserida dan LDL serta meningkatkan kadar HDL dan berat badan pada mencit (Mus musculus) Balb-C jantan yang mengalami hiperlipidemia. Desain penelitian ini berupa Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan enam kelompok perlakuan (kontrol positif, kontrol negatif, 3 mg/30 gBB/hari, 6 mg/30 gBB/hari, 9 mg/30 gBB/hari, 12 mg/30 gBB/hari) dan empat pengulangan tiap kelompok perlakuan. Mencit jantan diinduksi pakan tinggi lemak selama 20 hari kemudian diberi perlakuan selama 30 hari menggunakan jarum gavage. Pengambilan sampel darah dilakukan secara tiga tahap yaitu setelah aklimasi, induksi pakan tinggi lemak dan perlakuan. Sampel darah diambil pada bagian ekor hewan dan kemudian dihitung dengan menggunakan metode CHOD-PAP, GPO-PAP dan Friedwald. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian tepung kulit buah naga merah berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kenaikan HDL, sedangkan pada kadar kolesterol total, trigliserida dan LDL serta berat badan tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan. Tepung kulit buah naga merah dapat menaikkan kadar HDL sebesar 80,44 mg/dl pada kelompok dosis 12 mg/30 gBB/hari. Tepung kulit buah naga merah berpengaruh terhadap kadar lipid darah mencit jantan hiperlipidemia. ----------- Hyperlipidemia is a condition with high lipid levels in the blood, characterized by elevated total cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein (LDL) and decreased High Density Lipoprotein (HDL), which can lead to coronary heart disease. Red dragon fruit peel (Hylocereus polyrhizus) has bioactive compounds that play a role in improving blood lipid levels. This study aims to determine the effect of red dragon fruit peel flour to decrease total cholesterol, triglyceride and LDL levels and to increase HDL and weight levels in rat (Mus musculus) Balb-C males with hyperlipidemia. The study design was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six treatment groups (positive control, negative control, 3 mg/30 gBW/day, 6 mg/30 gBW/day, 9 mg/30 gBW/ day, 12 mg/30 gBW/Day) and four repetitions of each treatment group. Male mice induced high-fat diet for 20 days were then treated for 30 days using gavage. Blood sampling is done in three stages after acclimation, high-fat feed induction and treatment. Blood samples were taken at the tail of the animal and then calculated using CHOD-PAP, GPO-PAP and Friedwald methods. The results showed that the red dragon fruit peel flour significantly affected the increase of HDL, whereas in total cholesterol, triglyceride and LDL and weight did not significantly influence. Red dragon fruit peel flour can raise HDL levels by 80,44 mg/dl in the dose group of 12 mg/30 gBW/day. The red dragon fruit peel flour had affected to blood lipid level on male mice hyperlipidemia.
