Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh potensi daya saing sekolah dasar swasta Islam yang semakin kompetitif di Jakarta Timur. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan daya saing sekolah, kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah, dan mutu sekolah serta untuk menganalisis pengaruh dari kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah, dan mutu sekolah terhadap daya saing sekolah dasar swasta Islam di Jakarta Timur. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuatitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 59 SD swasta Islam dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 31 sekolah yang diambil berdasarkan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Penjaringan data penelitian menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil pengolahan dan analisis data menunjukkan bahwa gambaran umum dari daya saing sekolah dasar swasta Islam di Jakarta Timur berada pada kategori tinggi, kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah ada pada kategori tinggi begitu pula mengenai mutu sekolah berada pada kategori tinggi. Secara parsial, semuanya memberi pengaruh yang sangat signifikan terhadap daya saing sekolah. Rekomendasi yang disarankan dari penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan stakeholder secara bersama-sama berkomitmen untuk meningkatkan mutu sekolah agar dapat bersaing ditengah kompetisi global ---------- The research was motivated by potential competitiveness of Islamic primary school that were increasing competitive in east Jakarta. The purpose of this research was to describe to school on the competitiveness, the visionary leadership of the principal, and the quality of school on the competitiveness of Islamic primary school in east Jakarta. The approach in this research was quantitative approach and descriptive method. The population of this study amounted to 59 of Islamic primary school in east Jakarta with a total sample of 31 schools on the basis proportionate stratified random sampling. Research data collecting was using questionnaire. The result of processing and data analysis showed that the general description of the competitiveness of private Islamic primary school in east Jakarta was in the high category as well as the quality of the was in the high category. Partially, all of the element brought the significant influence toward the school on the competitiveness. The recommendation suggested from this study were the principal and the stakeholder committed to improve the quality of school in other to compete in the midst of global competition
