Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh menurunnya harga saham pada perusahaan subsektor batubara yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2011-2015. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran profitabilitas yang diukur dengan Return On Equity (ROE) dan harga saham, serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh profitabilitas terhadap harga saham. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dan verifikatif. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder dari masing-masing perusahaan subsektor batubara yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2011-2015. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas dan regresi linier sederhana, serta uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji keberartian regresi dan uji keberartian koefisien regresi. Dalam penelitian ini gambaran profitabilitas yaitu fluktuatif cenderung menurun, dan gambaran harga saham juga fluktuatif cenderung menurun. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa profitabilitas yang diukur dengan Return On Equity (ROE) berpengaruh terhadap harga saham. Profitabilitas menunjukan arah positif terhadap harga saham. ;---- This research was based on decreasing of coal mining companies’ stock prices listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2011-2015. This research was purposed to measure the profitability with Return on Equity (ROE) and stock price, and also to find out the influence of profitability toward stock price. Descriptive and verification methods were used in this research. The researcher used seconder data of each coal mining company in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2011-2015 for this research, with purpose sampling method was used to get samples. The researcher used normality test and simple linear regression to analyze the data. For Hypothesis testing, the researcher used significance test for linear regression and coefficient regression This research has come to the conclusion that profitability was fluctuated and tends to decrease, and stock price also was fluctuated and tends to decrease. The result of this research showed that profitability influenced towards stock price. Profitability shows a positive direction toward stock price.
