Abstract

Permasalahan yang penulis angkat pada penelitian ini adalah mengenai latihan mental untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar keterampilan tenis. Seringkali atlet terlihat kurang memiliki motivasi saat berlatih maupun saat bertanding, hal itu dapat dilihat dari kualitas atlet saat melakukan latihan dan saat bertanding. Pada dasarnya motivasi atlet dipengaruhi oleh dua faktor, yaitu faktor eksternal dan faktor internal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah atlet tenis yang ada pada klub Tenis Core Bandung yang berjumlah 30 orang. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 15 orang dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Terdapat dua instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu untuk mengukur motivasi atlet penulis menggunakan angket The Sport Motivation Scale (SMS-28). Sedangkan instrumen untuk mengukur keterampilan tenis peneliti menggunakan instrumen Hewitt Tennis Achievement Test. Teknik pengolahan data dan analisis data menggunakan uji t. Kesimpulan dari penelitian in adalah (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan latihan brain jogging terhadap peningkatan motivasi atlet tenis, (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan latihan brain jogging terhadap hasil belajar keterampilan tenis. Disarankan kepada pelatih, pengajar, pembina olahraga untuk mencoba pelatihan brain jogging dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar keterampilan tenis pada pelaksanaan program latihannya. Kata kunci : Latihan Brain Jogging, Hasil Belajar Keterampilan Tenis The problems that the author adopted in this study is the mental exercises to improve learning outcomes motivation and tennis skills. Often athletes look less motivated during practice or during a match, it can be seen from the quality of athletes during exercise and when competing. Basically the motivation of athletes affected by two factors, namely external and internal factors. The research method that will do the author is using the experimental method. The population in this study is that there are tennis athletes in Bandung Core Tennis club which numbered 30 people. Samples in this study as many as 15 people by using a sampling technique is purposive sampling. There are two instruments used in this study, which is to measure the motivation of athletes author using a questionnaire The Sport Motivation Scale (SMS-28), Vallerand (1995). While the instrument to measure the skills of researchers used the instrument Hewitt Tennis Tennis Achievement Test (Collins & Hodges, 1978; in Lacy, 2011). Data processing techniques and data analysis using normality test and homogeneity test. The conclusion of the study in is that there is significant influence brain jogging exercises to increase motivation tennis athletes and exercise a significant influence on learning outcomes brain jogging tennis skills. It is suggested to coaches, teachers, sports coaches, and the readers to try the brain training jogging in increasing motivation and learning outcomes tennis skills on implementation of the training program.
