Abstract

Penelitian ini, dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan yaitu rendahnya pemahaman konsep IPA. Rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa ini disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor, diantaranya guru masih menggunakan metode konvensional serta dominasi guru dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga proses pembelajaran menjadi pasif dan membosankan, berimbas pada pemahaman konsep IPA. Model pembelajaran TANDUR (Tumbuhkan, Alami, Namai, Demonstrasikan, Ulangi dan Rayakan), mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa SD yang dimulai dari menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa, melalui pembelajaran menggunakan model penelitian tindakan kelas dari Kemmis & Mc Taggart yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Keempat tahapan penelitian tersebut dilaksanakan dua siklus penelitian, tiap siklus difokuskan pada tema tentang Lingkunganku yang dilaksanakan di SDN S, subyek penelitian kelas Vc. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran TANDUR dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA. Dibuktikan dengan kenaikan presentese pemahaman konsep setiap siklus. Perbandingan pada pemahaman konsep kedua siklus untuk indikator menjelaskan pada siklus I 68.57% meningkat menjadi 85,26% pada siklus II, untuk indikator mencontohkan pada siklus I 73,57% meningkat \menjadi 87,94% pada siklus II sedangkan untuk indikator menyimpulkan pada siklus I 75,89% meningkat menjadi 86.60% untuk siklus II. Kesimpulan model pembelajaran TANDUR dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA pada siswa kelas V SDN S Bandung. ;---This research is motivated by the problem of low understanding of the concept of Science. The lack of understanding of the concept of students is caused factors, incluing t eachers who were using conventional methods and the dominance of teachers in the learning process so that the learning process becomes passive and boring, which impact on understanding the concept of science students. But can be overcome by the implementation of “TANDUR “can be able to improve understanding of science concept of elementary school students starting from the growth of student learning motivation, through group learning. This study is a class action (PTK), using a classroom research model from Kemmis & Mc Taggart which consists of four stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. The four stages of the study were carried out in two research cycles in which each Environtment focused on the theme of my Circle held at SDN S with research VC class. The result of the research shows that the application of TANDUR learning model can improve the understanding of science concept of students as evidenced by the Comparison to the understanding of the concept of both cycles for indicators explained that in cycle I 68.57% increased to 85.26% in cycle II, for example indicator in cycle I 73.57% increased \ to 87.94% in cycle II while for indicator concluded on cycle I 75.89% increased to 86.60% for cycle II.As a condision model of learning “TANDUR” can science concept understanding for fifth grade student SDN S Bandung.
