    Abstract

    Sistem kontrol traffic light di indonesia masih banyak yang dioperasikan secara manual, meski untuk sekarang sebagian besar simpang sudah ada yang menggunakan sistem kontrol otomatis namun kontrol yang digunakan masih menggunakan kontrol elektronika yang mudah rusak. Dengan memandang persoalan tersebut dibutuhkan suatu peralatan yang handal, cepat, efisien, dan dapat bekerja dalam waktu yang lama, serta mudah untuk melakukan modifikasi jika terjadi suatu perubahan deskripsi kerja pada sistem yaitu menggunakan PLC. Metode yang digunakan dalam perancangan alat ini adalah metode rancang bangun yang dilakukan dengan eksperimen. Pada sistem traffic light ini terdapat lima fase dalam satu siklus, melihat dari pengaturan fase baru hingga aspek standar ukuran jenis jalan dibuat sesuai dengan apa yang tertera pada MKJI. Pada perancangan sistem kontrol traffic light ini dibuat berupa real plan yang dimaksudkan untuk mempermudah pemahaman yang mana telah di sambungkan dari pemrograman yang ada dalam ladder diagram. Alat ini telah di program dan diuji secara eksperimen dengan hasil yang cukup baik. Sehinga alat ini dapat mempermudah pengguna dalam memahami dam mempelajari proses traffic light pada simpang lima.

    Traffic light control system in Indonesia is still much to be operated manually, although for now most of the intersection is already used automatic control system but controls used still uses electronic controls that are easily damaged. By looking at these issues required an equipment that is reliable, fast, efficient, and can work for a long time, and easy to modify if there is a change in the job description on system is using the PLC. The method used in designing this tool is a method of design that is done with the experiment. At the this traffic light system there are five phases in one cycle, see from a new phase setting until a standard aspect of the size of the road type is made according to what is listed on MKJI. The design at traffic light control system is made in the form of real plan that is intended to ease the understanding which has been in the connect of existing programming in ladder diagram. This tool has been programmed and tested experimentally with fairly good results. So that these tools can help users in ease the process of studying the draft traffic light at the intersection of five.
