Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai iklim kelas pada pembelajaran Biologi di SMA negeri dan swasta. Aspek yang diamati pada iklim kelas tersebut berdasarkan CUCEI (College and University Classroom Environment Inventory), yaitu kepribadian, keterlibatan, kekompakan siswa, kepuasan, pengarahan tugas, pembaharuan, dan individualitas. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui iklim kelas pada SMA negeri dan swasta. Selain itu juga membahas mengenai ada tidaknya kesesuaian pendapat guru dengan pendapat siswa tentang iklim kelas saat pembelajaran berlangsung. Iklim kelas sangat penting untuk dipelajari agar pembelajaran berlangsung dengan kondusif dan menyenangkan baik bagi guru maupun siswa. Penelitian deskriptif ini melibatkan 106 siswa SMA negeri dan 101 siswa SMA swasta yang masing-masing terdiri dari siswa kelas X, XI, dan XII serta 3 guru SMA negeri dan 3 guru SMA swasta. Hal ini dilakukan untuk menjelaskan iklim kelas pada tiap tingkatan baik di sekolah negeri maupun swasta baik dari pandangan guru maupun siswa. Penelitian dijaring melalui angket yang diberikan kepada siswa dan guru. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan didapatkan bahwa umumnya iklim kelas dari SMA swasta sedikit lebih baik dibandingkan dengan iklim kelas dari SMA negeri. Iklim kelas pada SMA swasta lebih unggul pada kelas X dan kelas XII dengan nilai masing-masing sebesar 3,8 dan 4; sedangkan pada SMA negeri, iklim kelas lebih unggul pada kelas XI yaitu dengan nilai 3,9. Kesesuaian pendapat antara guru dan siswa hanya terdapat pada kelas X di SMA swasta saja.,---The research explains about classroom climate of Biology learning at public and private senior high school. Aspects which support the classroom climate based on CUCEI (College and University Classroom Environment Inventory), they are personalisation, involvement, student cohesiveness, satisfaction, task direction, innovation, and individualisation. The purpose of this research to acknowledge the classroom climate of public and private senior high school. Beside that, it show wether or not it is appropiate with student and teacher opinion about the climate when the learning is taken place. This classroom climate is important to be learnt in order to make the learning fun and conducive. This descriptive research involves 106 public school students and 101 private school students which consist of the 10th, 11th, and 12th grade each, 3 public school teachers and 3 private school teachers as well. It is done to explain the climate in each grade in public and private school, both from students and teachers opinion. This research is collected through questionnaire whish is given to the students and teachers. Based on the result and study, we can conclude that the classroom climate of private school is better point of view in the 10th and 12th grade with each score are 3,8 and 4. Otherwise in the public school, the 11th grade is better with the score is 3,9. The compability of opinion only occurs in the 10th grade of private school.
