Abstract

Permasalahan dari penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar mata pelajaran ekonomi yang dilihat dari nilai UTS (Ujian Tengah Semester) Semester genap tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang belum maksimal pada siswa kelas XI IIS di SMA Negeri se-Kota Bandung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional yang dimiliki siswa terhadap hasil belajar dan pengaruh dukungan orang tua siswa terhadap hasil belajar siswa. metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei eksplanatori dengan menggunakan angket sebagai alat pengumpul data. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh kelas XI IIS SMA Negeri se-Kota Bandung yang kemudian diambil tujuh sekolah sebagai sampel sekolah dengan menggunakan teknik cluster sampling, sehingga menghasilkan sampel sebanyak 253 siswa yang menjadi responden dalam penelitian ini. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kecerdasan emosional dan dukungan orang tua berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, sedangkan hasil belajar siswa berada pada kategori rendah. Kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa dan dukungan orang tua tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional, Dukungan Orang Tua, Hasil Belajar The problem of this study is the students’ learning result in economy subject. It can be seen through the students’ mid examination scores in the second semester of 2015/2016 period got by the students from grade XI IIS in public senior high school in Bandung City, which are not maximal. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of emotional intelligence and the influence of the parents’ support toward the students’ learning result. The research method that is used is explanatory survey method with the use of questionnaire as the tool of data collection. The populations in this study are all students in grade XI IIS in public senior high school in Bandung City. Then, those are shortlisted to be seven schools as the sample schools by employing cluster random sampling technique. Thus, it results samples with the amount of 253 students that become the respondents in this study. The data analysis technique that is used in this research is multiple linear analyses. This study shows that emotional intelligence and the inflence of parents’ support here are in highest category, while there learning result is low category. Emotional intelligence gives positive influence and the parents’ support does not create any influence to the students’ learning result.
