Abstract
Literasi kuantitatif merupakan Habbit of Mind atau kebiasaan berpikir yaitu kemampuan dalam menggunakan pemikiran matematis untuk membuat pemaknaan dari informasi numerik. Hasil PISA menunjukan bahwa siswa Indonesia memiliki kemampuan kuantitatif rendah. Hal ini ditunjang oleh hasil penelitian Munawaroh (2014) bahwa profil literasi kuantitatif siswa SMA tergolong rendah khususnya SMA di daerah Bandung. Penerapan Lembar Kerja Siswa yang dibantu dengan alat praktikum (spirometer) digunakan untuk menunjang data kuantitatif. Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat literasi kuantitatif dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi sistem pernapasan setelah diterapkannya Lembar Kerja Siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 42 siswa kelas XI pada SMA swasta di Bandung. Instrumen literasi kuantitatif yang digunakan diadaptasi dari Speth, et al., (2010). Data literasi kuantitatif dan penguasaan konsep siswa didapatkan melalui dua tahapan yaitu pretest dan posttest dengan 20 soal pilihan ganda penguasaan konsep dan 20 soal literasi kuantitatif berupa uraian dan pilihan ganda. Hasil analisis menunjukan terdapat peningkatan secara signifikan pada literasi kuantitatif dan penguasaan konsep setelah diterapkannya bahan ajar. Kenaikan pada literasi kuantitatif maupun penguasaan konsep dilihat berdasarkan rata-rata nilai N-gain, masing-masing sebesar 0,43 dan 0,58 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Pada kemampuan literasi kuantitatif yang memiliki nilai tertinggi yaitu pada indikator representasi dengan nilai sebesar 68,98 sedangkan yang memiliki nilai terendah yaitu pada indikator asumsi dengan nilai sebesar 49,40.;---Quantitative literacy is a Habbit of Mind or habit of thinking that is the ability to use mathematical thinking to make meaningful of numerical information. PISA results show that Indonesian students have low quantitative abilities. This is supported by the results of Munawaroh (2014) research that the quantitative literacy profile of high school students is low especially in SMA in Bandung area. The application of Students Worksheet assisted by practice tool (spirometer) is used to support quantitative data. This experimental study aims to determine the level of quantitative literacy and mastery of student concepts on the material of the respiratory system after the application of Students Worksheet. This study was conducted on 42 students of class XI at private high school in Bandung. The quantitative literacy instrument used is adapted from Speth, et al., (2010). Quantitative literacy data and mastery of students' concepts are obtained through two stages: pretest and posttest with 20 multiple choice questions of conceptual mastery and 20 quantitative literacy questions in the form of description and multiple choice. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant increase in quantitative literacy and mastery of the concept after the application of Student Worksheet. The increase in quantitative literacy as well as mastery of the concept is seen based on the average N-gain value, each of 0.43 and 0.58 are included in the medium category. On the quantitative literacy ability that has the highest value is on the representation indicator with a value of 68.98 while the lowest value is on the assumption indicator with a value of 49.40.
