Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas X IIS SMA Negeri 1 Lembang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning melalui metode problem solving terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi materi pasar modal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan nonequivalent control group design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis berbentuk uraian. Hipotesis diuji menggunakan uji parametrik yaitu uji independent-samples t test dan paired-sample t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (i) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen antara sebelum dan setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan model problem based learning melalui metode problem solving pada materi pasar modal, dengan peningkatan sebesar 0.34 pada kategori sedang; (ii) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa antara kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan model problem based learning melalui metode problem solving dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah.;---The problem in this research is the low of critical thinking skills of students on economic subject in class X IIS SMA Negeri 1 Lembang. The purpose of this research to determine the influence of the application problem based learning models through problem solving method towards the student critical thingking skills on material capital markets of economics subject. This research method that used a quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The research instrument that used is a description test. Hypothesis test using parametric test, which is independent-sample t test and paired-sample t test. The results showed that; (i) there are differences in critical thinking skills of students in the experiments class between before and after treatment using the model of problem based learning through problem solving methods on material capital markets, with an increase 0.34 in the medium category; (ii) there are differences in students critical thinking skills between experiments class that used the model of problem based learning through problem solving methods with control class that used lecture methode.
