Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang sejarah, proses dan upaya yang tepat dalam tetap melestarikan minuman tradisional khas Betawi sebagai salah satu tradisi kuliner masyarakat Betawi. Kemudian jika minuman tradisional ini dapat berkembang makan diharapkan mampu menarik para wisatawan untuk berkunjung ke DKI Jakarta. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif atau juga sebagai penelitian kualitatif. Metode untuk mendapatkan data yaitu dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. DKI Jakarta dan sekitarnya sebagai tempat dilakukannya kegiatan penelitian. Pada penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Bir Pletok memiliki sejarah yang unik. Kemudian sistem produksinya dapat dilakukan dengan sederhana. Bir Pletok memiliki potensi yang cukup tinggi untuk menjadi produk yang mampu meningkatkan pendapatan untuk masyarakat sekitar jika mampu dikembangkan atau dikelola dengan baik Upaya pelestarian minuman tradisional ini harus dilakukan bukan hanya produsen, pemerintah namun harus melibatkan juga seluruh elemen masyarakat. ;--- This study aims to find out about the history, the process and the right effort in preserving Betawi traditional beverages as one of the Betawi culinary traditions. Then if this traditional drink can grow food is expected to attract tourists to visit DKI Jakarta. A method of the research is descriptive research or also as the qualitative study. Methods to get the data that is by conducting in-depth interviews , observation and documentation. DKI Jakarta and surrounding areas as a place he did the research activity . In this study shows that Bir Pletok has a unique history. Then the production system can be done simply. Pletok beer has a high potential to become a product that can increase income for the surrounding community if it can be developed or managed properly. Conservation efforts of this traditional beverage should be done not only producers, but the government must involve also all elements of society.
