Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor minat yang
memengaruhi siswa dalam memilih program studi keahlian teknik
otomotif di smk negeri 7 baleendah kabupaten bandung. Faktor-faktor
tersebut diantaranya faktor intrinsik meliputi kemauan, perasaan
senang, dan motivasi, sedangkan faktor ekstrinsik meliputi dukungan
keluarga, lingkungan sekolah, lingkungan masyarakat, dan media
massa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode
deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Peneltian ini dilakukan
terhadap 60 responden pada siswa kelas XI Program Studi Keahlian
Teknik Otomotif di SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah Kabupaten Bandung.
Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket
tertutup dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu
kurang dari setengahnya siswa dipengaruhi oleh faktor kemauan,
kurang dari setengahnya siswa dipengaruhi oleh faktor perasaan
senang, kurang dari setengahnya siswa dipengaruhi oleh faktor
motivasi, lebih dari setengahnya siswa dipengaruhi oleh faktor
dukungan keluarga, kurang dari setengahnya siswa dipengaruhi oleh
faktor lingkungan sekolah, lebih dari setengahnya siswa dipengaruhi
oleh faktor lingkungan masyarakat, dan lebih dari setengahnya siswa
dipengaruhi oleh faktor media massa. Faktor yang paling dominan
minat siswa dalam memilih Program Studi Keahlian Teknik Otomotif
di SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah Kabupaten Bandung adalah faktor
lingkungan masyarakat.----------The purpose of this study is to describe factors that influence the
interest of students in choosing the study program of automotive
engineering in SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah District Bandung. The
factors including intrinsic factors contain willingness, feelings of
pleasure and motivation. while extrinsic factors including family
support, school environment, community environment and pers. The
method used in this research is descriptive method with quantitative
approach. This research was conducted on 60 respondents in second
grade of highschool students of automotive engineering skill study
program at SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah District Bandung. The
Technique of collecting data in this research use closed questionnaire
by using likert scale. The result of the research is less than half of the
students affected by the willingness factor, less than half of the
students are affected by the feeling factor of pleasure, less than half
the students are influenced by motivation factors, more than half of
the students are influenced by family support factors, less than half of
the students are affected by environmental factors Schools, more than
half of the students are affected by environmental factors, and more
than half of the students are influenced by mass media factors. The
most dominant factor of student interest in choosing the Study
Program of Automotive Engineering Expertise at SMK Negeri 7
Baleendah District Bandung is environmental factor of society.
