Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu kurangnya kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 1 Cangkuang tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan unutk mendeksripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam berbicara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model cooperative script. metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desan penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Sumber data penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 1 Cangkuang yang berjumlah 49 orang. Instrumen yang digunakannya berupa tes lisan. Data dianalisis melalui uji sifat data yang terdiri dari uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, uji gain, serta uji hipotesis. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: (1) kemampuan berbicara dalam percakapan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Cangkuang sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative script termasuk dalam kategori belum mampu, dengan rata-rata 68,6. Sedangkan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative script termasuk dalam kategori mampu, dengan rata-rata 75,8, (2) peningkatan kemampuan berbicara antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative script yaitu tes awal 68,6 menjadi 75,8, dengan beda 7,2, dan (3) dari hasil uji hipotesis atau uji t, diperoleh thitung (17,14) > ttabel (2,423) hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, sedangkan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Jadi, bisa disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran cooperative script bisa meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 1 Cangkuang taun ajaran 2016/2017..,--The background of this study is the lack of students'speaking ability in class VII A SMPN 1 Cangkuang academic year 2016/2017. The aim of this study is to describe the students' speaking ability before and after using a cooperative script model. The methodology in this study is 'kuasi' experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. The data sourcesare taken from the 49 students in class VII A SMPN 1 Cangkuang. The instrument that is used by this study is the oral test. The data are analyzed using "uji sifat dasar" which are normalitation test andhomogeneous test,gain test,andhypothesis test. The result of this study are: (1) the students' speaking ability in conversations before using the cooperative script learning model is in low categorywith the average 68,6. Meanwhile, after taking the cooperative script learning model, they were in capable category with the average 75.8, (2) The increased of speaking ability before and after using the cooperative script learning model is in earlytest 68,6 became 75,8 with a difference 7.2, and (3) based on the hypothesis test or t test, obtained tscore (17,14), > ttable (2,423) alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted while nul hyphothesis (Ho) is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the cooperative script learning model significantlly can improve the speaking abilityof the students class VII A SMPN 1 Cangkuang academic year 2016/2017.
