Abstract

Departemen Kurikulum dan Teknologi Pendidikan. Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan. Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Tahun 2017. Penggunaan model kooperatif tipe probing prompting dapat membantu guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan model kooperatif tipe probing prompting dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional/ceramah pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas V. Rumusan masalah umum dalam penelitian ini yaitu Apakah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Probing-Prompting terhadap peningkatan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran IPA kelas V di SDN Isola Bandung? Sedangkan rumusan masalah khusus dalam penelitian ini yaitu Apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada aspek kelancaran (Fluency), keluwesan (Flexibility), keaslian (Originality) dan merinci (elaboration) antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Probing-prompting dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan metode ceramah pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas V? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen berjenis kuasi berbentuk Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen berjenis tes uraian berpikir kreatif. Teknik penyampelan dilakukan dengan menggunakan Cluster Sampling. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) siswa kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe probing prompting dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa kelas kontrol yang diberikan perlakuan metode pembelajaran konvensional/ceramah. 2) siswa kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe probing prompting dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif aspek fluency, flexibility originality dan elaboration lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa kelas kontrol yang diberikan perlakuan metode pembelajaran ceramah/konvensional. Karena dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe probing prompting dapat membantu siswa untuk memunculkan ide-ide dan gagasan-gagasan baru dalam menyelesaikan suatu permasalahan. ;---The Department of Curriculum and Educational Technology. This research aims to describe and analyze the differences of increasing the ability of the creative thinking of students between learning using a cooperative model type of probing prompting with the conventional learning methods/lectures on subjects Natural Science Class V. The formulation of a common problem in this study is Whether there is influence on the use of Cooperative Learning Model type Probing-Prompting to increase creative thinking of students in the subjects of Natural Science Class V at Primary School Isola in Bandung? Whereas, the formulation of the specific problem in this study is Whether at there is a difference in the ability of creative thinking in the aspect of smoothness (Fluency), suppleness (Flexibility), authenticity (Originality) and detailing (elaboration) among students who gain learning experience using learning model of Cooperative type of Probing-prompting where students are to acquire learning method with lectures on subjects in Natural Science Class V? The research method used was a quasi experiment method in the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The instruments used in this research were the instruments to test description elements of creative thinking. Sampling technique performed used was Cluster Sampling. The conclusions of this study are: 1) the experimental class students being given preferential treatment by the learning model cooperative type of probing prompting can improve creative thinking ability which proves to be higher compared to the control class students given preferential treatment to conventional learning methods/lectures. 2) experimental class students being given the treatment model of cooperative learning type of probing prompting can improve the ability of the creative thinking aspect of originality and flexibility, fluency elaboration which proves to be critical thinking higher than grade control given the treatment learning methods lecture/conventional. Because the cooperative learning model by using a type of probing prompting can help students to come up with ideas and new ideas in solving a problem it can concluded that the model of Probing Prompting increase students.
