Abstract
Penelitian yang berjudul “Penggunaan Metode Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah Berbantu Multimedia Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Siswa SMK” merupakan penelitian untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantu multimedia dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantu multimedia ini memberikan peningkatan terhadap pemahaman siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode tersebut, dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana respon siswa terhadap pembelajarannya. Pada penelitian ini penulis menggunakan desain Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design dimana dalam desain ini terdapat dua kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen yang tidak dipilih secara penugasan random (Sugiyono, 2010:116). Dari hasil uji hipotesis dengan hasil kelas kontrol memperoleh skor total 12,779 dan rata-rata 0,376. Skor tertinggi kelas kontrol adalah 0,667 dan skor minimalnya 0. Sedangkan kelas eksperimen diperoleh skor total 23,508 dan rata-rata 0,691. Skor tertinggi kelas kontrol adalah 0,875 dan skor minimalnya 0. skor rata-rata kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masuk ke dalam kategori sedang dengan perbandingan nilai rata-rata dari kelas kontrol dan eksperimen adalah 0,376 < 0,691. Dari hasil perbandingan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol.
