Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh pola asuh keluarga beda agama terhadap pengambilan keputusan anak dalam memilih agama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tipologi pola asuh yang terjadi dalam kehidupan keluarga beda agama, mengetahui siapa yang lebih dominan memberikan pengasuhan dalam keluarga beda agama, mengetahui pendidikan agama yang terjadi dalam keluarga beda agama, mengidentifikasi pengaruh pihak yang memberikan pengasuhan secara dominan dengan proses pengambilan keputusan anak dalam memilih agama, dan mengetahui peran saudara atau kerabat dekat dari keluarga beda agama terhadap pengambilan keputusan anak dalam memilih agama. Belum adanya penelitian yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa program studi pendidikan sosiologi mengenai pola asuh keluarga beda agama, maka peneliti merasa tertarik untuk mengetahui dan menggali serta dapat memecahkan permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik studi literatur, studi dokumentasi, observasi, dan wawancara. Informan penelitian terdiri dari orang tua atau suami/istri, anak, dan saudara atau keraba dekat keluarga beda agama. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh yang terjadi cenderung kepada pola asuh permisif dan otoriter. Pola asuh yang dilakukan memiliki pengaruh terhadap pengambilan keputusan anak dalam memilih agama meskipun anak diberi kebebasan untuk memilih agama oleh kedua orang tuanya. Lingkungan sosial menjadi faktor lain yang memengaruhi keputusan anak dalam memilih agama. Kata Kunci: Keluarga beda agama, pengambilan keputusan anak, pola asuh. This research is conducted to explain the influence of family with different-religion’s parenting towards children’s decision-making in religion-choosing. The aim of this research are to know: parenting typology which is occurs in the daily life of different-religious-beliefs family, to know whom more dominant role inside parenting inside the family reside, to know the proceed of religion’s value introduction which is occurs inside the family, to identified the influence of the dominant role in parenting towards children’s decision-making-process in religion-choosing, and to know the role of family relation and/or close-family relation of different-religious-beliefs family to children’s decision-making in religion-choosing. Referring to no-research related to this topic has been conducted by student of sociology education study program, hereafter the researcher himself interested to know and to explore and also to solve the problem has been mentioned above. This research is using qualitative approach and case-study method. Data collecting conducted by using literature research, documentation research, observations and depth interviews techniques. Respondents of the research are included parents and/or husbands and wives, children, and family relations and/or close-family relations from different-religious-beliefs family. As result from this research can be qualified that the parenting which is occurs are permissive and authoritarian parenting more away. Which is parenting itself has influence in children’s decision-making in religion-choosing since children are allowed to choose their own religion by their parents. Social environment and people around their live are also being secondary factor and influnce the children’s decision in religion-choosing.
