Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar dalam mata pelajaran IPA pada sebuah SD di kota Bandung. Ini terjadi dikarenakan minimnya penggunaan pendekatan, model, dan metode yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran. Untuk dapat mengatasi hal tersebut, salah satu pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu Contextual Teaching and Learning. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan peningkatan hasil belajar pada pembelajaran IPA di SD dengan menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena melihat rendahnya hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran IPA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model spiral dari Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini merupakan siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 36 orang. Hasil temuan yang didapat oleh peneliti dengan menerapakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning dalam pembelajaran IPA menunjukan peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Pada pra siklus nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh yaitu 62, siklusI yaitu 75, dan siklusII yaitu 91. Dan persentase ketuntasan pada pra siklus mencapai 42%, siklusI yaitu 69%, dan siklusII yaitu 97%. Dengan demikian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning pada mata pelajaran IPA di SD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar. Rekomendasi pada penelitian ini ditujukan untuk guru dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching Learning. ;---This research is motivated by low learning outcomes in science subjects in an elementary school in Bandung. This happens because of the lack of use of the approaches, models, and methods that teachers use in learning. To overcome this problem, one approach that used in this research is Contextual Teaching and Learning. The purpose of this research is to know the planning, implementation and improvement of learning outcomes in science learning in elementary school by using Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. This study was conducted because of the low learning outcomes in science subjects. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research with spiral model from Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The participants in this research are 36 students of grade five. The findings obtained by the researchers by applying Contextual Teaching and Learning approach in science learning showed improvement in each cycle. In the pre cycle the average value obtained is 62, in the first cycle is 75, and in the second cycle is 91. And the percentage of completeness in the pre cycle reaches 42%, in the first cycle is 69%, and in the second cycle is 97%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach in science subjects in elementary school can improve learning outcomes. The recommendations in this research are intended for teachers in improving learning outcomes by using Contextual Teaching Learning approach.
