Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini berawal dari pentingnya penerapan K3 (Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja) pada praktik brushing floor serta penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran yang belum optimal, yaitu masih menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru (teacher centered). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan hasil penerapan K3 pada peningkatan praktik brushing floor melalui pendekatan learning by doing. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas atau classroom action dengan dua siklus. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI Akomodasi Perhotelan 3 dengan jumlah 35 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi guru dan alat penilaian kinerja peserta didik. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh pada siklus I, ada beberapa tahapan yang belum dilaksanakan oleh guru secara optimal, yaitu pada tahap doing dan communicating, sehingga penerapan K3 pada praktik brushing floor peserta didik belum maksimal. Hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan karena guru telah melaksanakan tahapan-tahapan dalam pendekatan learning by doing yaitu exploring, planning, doing, communicating dan reflecting dengan optimal terlihat dari capaian persentase penerapan K3 peserta didik yang meningkat, besarnya peningkatan berada pada kategori sedang. Rekomendasi hasil penelitian ini ditujukan kepada pihak sekolah untuk lebih memperhatikan penyediaan APD, kepada guru agar lebih memperhatikan pemilihan pendekatan pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk praktik, sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil praktik brushing floor dengan menerapkan K3 pada peserta didik.----------The case of this research started from the important of applying K3 (Health and Safety) by practicing brushing floor and using unefficient learning, that is still using the learning approach aimed at the teacher (teacher centered). The aim of this research is find out the planning, implementation and result of K3 on improvement of brushing floor practice by learning by doing approach. The method of this research is classroom action with two cycle. Sample of this research are 35 student in XI grade of hospitality accomodation department. We use teacher observation sheet and student report. Accoording to the result in the first cycle, there are several stages that have not been implemented by the teacher optimally, such as the stage of doing and communicating, so that the application of K3 on the brushing floor practice of the student has not been maximized. Learning outcomes of student in cycle II has increased because the teachers have done the learning process in learning by doing approach such as exploring, planning, doing, communicating and reflecting that seen optimal from achievement of the increasing percentage of K3 in student, the increase is in the category of moderate.The recommendation of this research is aimed to the school to pay more attention to the provision of APD, to the teacher to pay more attention on chosing of teaching learning approach that is suitable for the practice, so it can improve the result of brushing floor practice by applying K3 to the students.
