Abstract

Proses perkembangan dan pertumbuhan anak akan dipengaruhi oleh bagaimana cara seorang ibu dalam merawat anak. Menyusui adalah proses memberikan air susu ibu kepada bayi yang telah dilahirkan oleh seorang ibu. Pemberian ASI sejak tahun 2004 telah diprogramkan oleh pemerintah bahwa bayi dianjurkan mendapatkan ASI selama 6 bulan pertama atau dikenal sebagai program ASI eksklusif. ASI eksklusif adalah proses pemberian air susu ibu selama 6 bulan pertama kelahiran dengan tanpa makanan tambahan untuk bayi. Dalam pelaksanaan program ASI eksklusif ini terdapat berbagai kendala salah satunya adalah pengetahuan ibu tentang nutrisi dalam meningkatkan produksi ASI. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan ibu menyusui tentang nutrisi dalam meningkatkan produksi ASI di Puskesmas Caringin kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jumlah populasi di Puskesmas Caringin sebanyak 348 ibu menyusui. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 186 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan memiliki nilai validitas 0,2 dan reliabilitas 0,748. Hasil penelitian menunujukkan bahwa tingkat pendidikan ibu menyusui tentang nutrisi dalam meningkatkan produksi ASI di Puskesmas Caringin yaitu kategori baik terdapat sebanyak 17 orang (9,1%), kategori cukup terdapat sebanyak 53 orang (28,5%) dan kategori kurang berada di prosentase tertinggi yaitu 116 orang (62,4%). Saran kepada pihak puskesmas diharapkan dapat memberikan pendidikan kesehatan terkait pengetahuan ibu menyusui khususnya tentang nutrisi dalam meningkatkan produksi ASI. ;---The process of children's development and growth will be influenced by how a mother in taking care of their children. Breastfeeding is the process of providing breast milk to babies who have been born. Breastfeeding since 2004 has been programmed by the government that babies are encouraged to get milk during the first 6 months or otherwise known as exclusive breastfeeding programs. Exclusive breastfeeding is the process of breastfeeding during the first 6 months of birth with no additional food for the baby. In the implementation of this exclusive breastfeeding program, there are various obstacles one of which is the mother's knowledge of nutrition in increasing milk production. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of breastfeeding mothers about nutrition in increasing milk production at health center Caringin Bandung city. This research uses quantitative descriptive research design with population amount in Caringin Health Center as many as 348 breastfeeding mothers. Samples were taken by using purposive sampling technique with the total sample as many as 186 people. The research instrument used has a validity value of 0.2 and reliability of 0.748. The results showed that the level of breastfeeding mother's education about nutrition in increasing milk production in Caringin Health Center is in good category which are 17 people (9,1%), good enough category as many as 53 people (28,5%) and the less category is in highest percentage which are 116 people (62.4%). The advice to the puskesmas is they expected to provide health education related knowledge of breastfeeding mothers, especially about nutrition in increasing milk production.
