Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh rasa bersalah terhadap penilaian kognitif stres peran ibu pada warga binaan Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (Lapas) Wanita Kelas IIA Bandung. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 261 warga binaan Lapas Wanita Kelas IIA Bandung. Data diperoleh melalui instrumen rasa bersalah inmate mothers pada anak yang diadaptasi dari The Guilt Inventory yang mengukur rasa bersalah dan instrumen penilaian kognitif stres peran ibu yang diadaptasi dari The Stres Appraisal Measure (SAM) untuk mengukur penilaian kognitif stres peran ibu. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian adalah pendekatan kuantitaif melalui metode korelasional dengan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana dan rasch model. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan 1) rasa bersalah berkorelasi dengan penilaian kognitif stres peran ibu (r=0.536), 2) rasa bersalah pada anak berpengaruh sangat kecil bahkan dapat dikatakan tidak berpengaruh terhadap penilaian kognitif stres peran ibu pada warga binaan Lapas Wanita Kelas IIA Bandung (b=1.103), 3) terdapat faktor lain yang menyebabkan peningkatan penilaian kognitif stres peran ibu warga binaan Lapas Wanita Kelas IIA Bandung.,---The aim this study is to determine the influence of guilty feeling inmate mothers to their children toward stress cognitive appraisal of inmate in Women Penitentiary Class IIA Bandung on their mother’s role. Purposive sampling method with 261 subjects was employed as a technique in this quantitative study. The data were obtained by two kinds of scales. First scale is Inmate Mothers Guilt Scale which adaptation of The Guilt Inventory (Kugler, John & Schatter, 2000) which used to measure the level of guilty perceived by inmate mothers because of separation from their children. Second scale is Stress Appraisal of Mothers Role which adaptation of The Stress Appraisal Measure (SAM) (Peacock & Wong, 1989) which used to measure level of stress cognitive appraisal of mothers role. Simple Regression and Rasch Model Analysis are used for analyze the results study. The results showed: 1) Guilty feeling has correlated with stress cognitive appraisal of mothers role (r=0.536), 2) Guilty feeling has very low or even could be said not influential on stress cognitive appraisal of mothers role in Women Penitentiary Class IIA Bandung (b=1.103), 3) There are many other factors that caused the increase level in stress cognitive appraisal mothers role, particularly challenge, in Women Penitentiary Class IIA Bandung.
