Abstract

Land use changes from vegetation to non-vegetation in Cimanuk Hulu Subbasin were cause the loss of water retention in the watershed. And then increased surface runoff and flood discharge, indicated by flood events that occurred in Garut Regency. This research was conducted to find out the effect of land use change on flood discharge fluctuation in Cimanuk Hulu Subbasin. The study assesed the effect of different land uses for the large on the flood discharge recorded on Automatic Water Level Recorder (AWLR). The analysis was done by multiple linier regression. The results show that the largest increase in land use is dryland agriculture and largest decrease is primary dryland forest. Regression analysis shows that fluctuation of discharge in Cimanuk River tends to increase every year. The range between maximum discharge and minimum discharge is indicated by Coefficient of River Regime at a moderate level. The result of regression analysis shows that every land use influences fluctuation of flood discharge, but relatively small. Another factor causing floods that correlates higher with flood discharge is depth of rainfall. In largest flood prediction is potentially due to the increase of settlements, with a discharge of 168,819 m3/s in 2025. Perubahan tata guna lahan Sub DAS Cimanuk Hulu dari yang bervegetasi menjadi lahan kedap air, menyebabkan DAS kehilangan penahan aliran air. Sehingga aliran permukaan menjadi besar dan meningkatnya debit sungai, ditunjukkan dengan terjadinya banjir yang melanda Kabupaten Garut. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh perubahan tata guna lahan terhadap fluktuasi debit banjir di Sub DAS Cimanuk Hulu. Penelitian melihat pengaruh tata guna lahan secara keseluruhan terhadap besaran debit banjir yang tercatat di pos duga air. Analisis dilakukan dengan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa luas lahan di Sub DAS Cimanuk yang mengalami kenaikan terbesar yaitu pertanian lahan kering dan lahan yang mengalami penurunan terbesar yaitu hutan lahan kering primer. Fluktuasi debit yang terjadi di aliran Sungai Cimanuk cenderung meningkat tiap tahunnya. Rentang debit maksimum dan minimum dapat ditunjukkan oleh Koefisien Regim Sungai (KRS) pada tingkat kerusakan sedang. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa setiap penggunaan lahan berpengaruh terhadap fluktuasi debit banjir, hanya pengaruhnya relatif kecil. Faktor penyebab banjir lainnya yang berkorelasi lebih tinggi dengan debit banjir adalah ketinggian curah hujan. Potensi banjir terbesar diakibatkan oleh pertambahan luasan lahan pemukiman di Sub DAS Cimanuk hulu dengan hasil prediksi tahun 2025 didapat debit sebesar 168,819 m3/det. ; ----
