Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena pengangguran lulusan SMK dan rendahnya daya serap tenaga kerja lulusan SMK, fenomena tersebut salahsatunya diakibatkan oleh tidak relevannya kurikulum yang digunakan di SMK dengan kebutuhan dunia industri karena tidak berjalannya konsep link and match antara sekolah dengan industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seperti apa relevansi kurikulum sekolah menengah kejuruan dengan pendekatan link and match di Kabupaten Purwakarta. Pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Subjek penelitian adalah praktisi pendidikan di SMKN 1 Purwakarta dan praktisi industri di daerah Purwakarta. Data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Relevansi kurikulum SMK di Purwakarta dengan kebutuhan industri secara umum ditinjau dari pendekatan link and match tidak relevan karena persentase jumlah SMK jurusan teknik komputer dan informatika memilki persentase paling tinggi sebesar 21,2%, sementara industri di purwakarta lebih dominan pada jenis industri kimia dan tekstil dengan persentase paling tinggi sebesar 34,5% dari seluruh jenis usaha yang ada di kabupaten Purwakarta. Sedangkan secara lebih Spesifik untuk jurusan teknik Ketenagalistrikan bisa disimpulkan sangat relevan, hal ini dikarenakan dari 165 Perusahaan, sebanyak 149 (90,3%) membutuhkan teknisi bidang ketenagalistrikan dalam menjalankan perusahaan. (2) Relevansi kurikulum di SMKN 1 Purwakarta jurusan teknik listrik dengan kebutuhan dunia industri ditinjau dari kebutuhan pengembangan industri di daerah setempat bisa disimpulkan sudah relevan, indikatornya dapat dilihat dari standariasi alat praktikum, kerjasama dengan industri dan kompetensi yang dibutuhkan oleh industri yang sudah sesuai, namun ada beberapa hal yang harus ditambahkan dan diperbaiki dalam hal kerjasama antara sekolah dengan pihak industri khususnya dalam bidang pengembangan kurikulum sekolah.;---This research is motivated by the phenomenon of jobless graduates of vocational and low absorption of labor vocational school graduates, the phenomenon is one of them caused by the irrelevance of the curriculum used in the vocational with the needs of the industrial world because of the ineffectiveness of the concept of link and match between schools and industry. This study aims to find out what the relevance of the curriculum of vocational schools with the approach link and match in Purwakarta. Descriptive qualitative approach and methods used in this study. Subjects were practitioners of education at SMK 1 Purwakarta and industry practitioners in the area Purwakarta. Data obtained from interviews, observation and documents. The results showed that (1) The relevance of vocational curriculum in Purwakarta to the needs of the industry in general in terms of the approach link and match irrelevant because the percentage of SMK majoring in computer engineering and informatics have the highest percentage at 21.2%, while the industry is more dominant purwakarta on the type of chemical and textile industries with the highest percentage of 34.5% of all businesses in Purwakarta district. While more Specification for engineering Electricity can be concluded very relevant, this is because of the 165 company, a total of 149 (90.3%) required a technician electricity sector in running the company. (2) The relevance of the curriculum at SMK 1 Purwakarta majoring in electrical engineering with the needs of industry in terms of the needs of industrial development in the local area could be concluded already relevant, the indicator can be seen from standariasi tool lab work, cooperation with industry and competencies required by industry which is appropriate, but there are some things that should be added and improved in terms of cooperation between schools with the industry, especially in the development of school curriculum.
