Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di kelas XI IPS SMA Kartika XIX-2 Bandung. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode guided discovery learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi indeks harga dan inflasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan nonequivalent control group design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes tertulis berbentuk uraian. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan statistika parametrik melalui uji t (paired-sample t test dan independent sample t-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (i) Terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada kelas eksperimen antara sebelum dan setelah diberi perlakuan metode guided discovery learning dengan peningkatan pada kategori sedang; (ii) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa antara kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan metode guided discovery learning dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah.,---The problem in this research was still low creative thinking skill of students class XI IPS SMA Kartika XIX-2 Bandung on economic subjects. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of the application of guided discovery learning methods to creative thinking skill of students in price index and inflation. This research used a quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Collecting data used pencil and paper test with essay. Hypothesis testing used statistical parametric with t test (paired-sample t test and independent sample t-test). The results showed: (i) there are differences in creative thinking skill of students in the experiment class between before and after treatment were given guided discovery learning method with the improvement in the medium category; (ii) there are differences improvement in creative thinking skill of students between experiment class that used guided discovery learning method and control class that used the lecture method.
