Abstract
Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja yang muncul pada proses selfforgiveness. Self-forgiveness adalah kondisi dimana seseorang dapat menghilangkan rasa benci, jijik, dan perasaan negatif lainnya yang mengarahkan pada ketidaksukaan ke dalam diri sebagai salah satu reaksi dari kesalahan yang telah dilakukannya. Penulisan ini dilakukan kepada tiga orang anak pelaku pembunuhan(usia dibawah 18 tahun) yang sedang menjalani hukuman pidana di LPKA Bandung. Penggalian informasi dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan wawancara mendalam, dan teknik analisis data studi kasus menggunakan open coding, dan focus/axial coding. Hasil penulisan ini menunjukan bahwa faktor-faktor yang muncul selama proses selfforgiveness, yaitu : guilty feeling, empati, self-esteem, attribution, perceived forgiveness, perceived transgression severity, conciliatory behavior, konsekuensi positif, religiusitas, dukungan sosial, dan harapan. ;--- This study aims to identify factors that influence self-forgiveness. Self-forgiveness is a condition where a person can eliminate hatred, disgust and other negative feelings that lead to dislike in ourselves as one of the reactions of the mistakes he had made. Participants in this study are three children who murder (aged under 18 years) that are undergoing criminal penalties in LPKA Bandung. This study uses qualitative approach with case study method. Data was collected using in depth interview technique and case study data analized by using open coding, and focus/axial coding. These results indicate that the factors affecting self-forgiveness are guilty feeling, empathy, self-esteem, attribution, perceived forgiveness, perceived transgression severity, conciliatory behavior, positive consequences, religiosity, social support, and hope.
