Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self esteem dengan kecemburuan pada suami di Kota Bandung. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah 200 suami di Kota Bandung yang mempunyai usia pernikahan dibawah lima tahun. Instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah Self Esteem State Scale (SESS) untuk mengukur self esteem dan Multidimensional Jealousy Scale (MJS) untuk mengukur kecemburuan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Teknik korelasi yang digunakan adalah korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah terdapat hubungan negatif antara self esteem dan kecemburuan pada suami di Kota Bandung dengan usia pernikahan dibawah lima tahun dengan nilai korelasi pearson sebesar -0.959. Artinya, semakin tinggi self esteem pada suami di Kota Bandung maka akan semakin rendah kecemburuan yang dialaminya, begitupun sebaliknya semakin rendah self esteem maka akan semakin tinggi kecemburuan yang dialmi oleh suami di Kota Bandung.;--- This research was aimed to determine the relation between self esteem and jealousy on husband in Bandung City. The determination of sample used a purposive sampling technique with total sample 200 husbands in Bandung City who have been in marriage for under five years. The instrument in this research were using Self Esteem State Scale (SESS) to measure the self esteem and Multidimensional Jealousy Scale (MJS) to measure jealousy as a data collection. The correlation technique was using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results showed that there were a negative relationship between self esteem and jealousy on husbands in Bandung City who have been in marriage for under five years with correlation value pearson of -0.959. In other words, as high self esteem on husband in Bandung City, as low jealousy would happen, while as low self esteem on husband in Bandung City, as high jealousy experience.
