Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena peneliti tertarik dengan tradisi dan nilai-nilai yang dipegang oleh masyarakat adat Suku Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu. Hal tersebut dikarenakan peneliti menganggap penting untuk mengkaji nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam tradisi yang dipegang teguh oleh masyarakat adat Suku Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu. Jika dikaji lebih lanjut tradisi yang dijalankan mengandung pesan moral dan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang jika dikembangkan dan diterapkan oleh masyarakat luas mampu membentuk kompetensi kewarganegaraan. Dari pemaparan tersebut maka tujuan umum dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tradisi yang terdapat dalam Masyarakat Adat Suku Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu. Adapun tujuan khusus penelitian ini yaitu (a) Asal mula adat istiadat masyarakat adat Suku Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu, (b) Mengidentifikasi faktor yang melatarbelakangi masyarakat adat Suku Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu dalam menjalankan tradisi sebagai bentuk kearifan lokal, (c) Mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam tradisi masyarakat adat Suku Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu, (d) Mengetahui peranan tradisi masyarakat adat Suku Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu terhadap pembentukkan kompetensi kewarganegaraan, (e) Mengetahui perananan pemerintah dalam meningkatkan eksistensi masyarakat adat Suku Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu Mengetahui upaya pemerintah dalam meningkatkan eksistensi masyarakat adat Suku Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (a) adat istiadat atau tradisi yang terdapat dalam masyarakat adat Suku Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu bermula sejak masa Dayak Siswa yaitu pada tahun 1982, (b) faktor yang mempengaruhi masyarakat adat Suku Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu adalah dilatarbelakangi oleh kepercayaan dan prinsip mereka terhadap alam, (c) Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam tradisi tersebut yaitu persatuan, kesabaran, mengendalikan hawa nafsu, bersyukur, dan menyatu dengan alam, (d) Peranan tradisi tersebut mencerminkan nilai-nilai kehidupan kewarganegaraan yang baik yaitu menggambarkan nilai luhur, norma yang berlaku, peraturan-peraturan yang ditetapkan sebagai hukum juga membentuk jiwa-jiwa yang memiliki kompetensi kewarganegaraan, (e) Pihak Pemerintah sampai saat ini belum memiliki program khusus untuk masyarakat adat Suku Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu.;--- The research is motivated that the resercher is interested to the tradition and values held by Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu Ethnic. The resercher thinks that is important to examine the values believed by the community. The researcher is sure that the tradition and the values held by them have moral messages and local wisdom values be able to be developed and caried out to wide people to form a civic competence in Indonesia. The global aim of the reseach is to know and understand more the tradition of Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu community. And the specific aims of the research are: (a) to know the origin of the tradition of Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu, (b) to identify some factors motivated Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu community in performing a local wisdom, (c) to identify some volues contained in the tradition of Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu community, (d) to know the role of the tradition of Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu community in forming the civic competence, (e) to know the role of the govenrment in increasing the existence of Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu community. The researcher uses descriptive method to describe the fenomenon today, and in the past time using observation technique, interview, literature study, and documentation study. The location of the research is in Krimun Vilage, Kecamatan Losarang, Kabupaten Indramayu. The research shows that (a) the tradition of Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu community was exist since 1982, (b) the main factor influenced the Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu community is their belief and their principle to the nature, (c) the values contained in the tradition are the unity, the patience, to control the passions, to be thankful, and to to fuse with the nature. (d) the role of the tradition reflects the values of the good citizenship life, that is showing the glorious values, norms, and rules as the law to form a civic competence, (e) the government has no special program for Dayak Hindu Budha Bumi Segandu Indramayu community.
