Abstract

Keramik roti tawar ini dilatar belakangi oleh minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang keramik, bentuk yang tidak berkembang dan tidak mencari inovasi terbaru dalam dunia keramik. Peciptaan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan (1) konsep penciptaan karya keramik dengan bentuk roti tawar; (2) proses dan teknik karya keramik dengan bentuk roti tawar; (3) visualisasi bentuk karya keramik dengan bentuk roti tawar. Beberapa tahapan berkarya diantaranya tahapan ide, observasi, proses berkarya, dan karya. Karya keramik ini diharapkan dapat menghasilkan inovasi baru dan teori baru yang belum terungkap sebelumnya untuk menambah ilmu dan wawasan. Adapun hasil dari karya penciptaan ini adalah (1) konsep keramik roti tawar dibuat dari inspirasi bentuk roti tawar, dituangkan ke dalam karya keramik yang memiliki nilai fungsi untuk benda di atas meja makan; (2) Proses berkarya mulai dari pencarian bentuk hingga terciptanya karya akhir dengan teknik pijit, giling, putar dan pilin, penulis mampu mengetahui kendala serta kesulitan dalam penciptaan karya keramik dengan bentuk roti tawar; (3) Karya keramik memiliki bentuk menyerupai roti tawar, warna yang dihasilkan yaitu coklat tua dengan kombinasi putih, karya itu seperti cangkir, wadah telur, wadah sendok, aroma terapi, dan wadah sop. Kata Kunci : Roti Tawar, Keramik. This bread ceramics based to citizen slight knowledge about ceramics, undeveloped shape, and none of the newest inovation in the ceramics field. This create is supposed to know and descript (1) ceramics opus form of bread shape creation concept; (2) ceramics opus form of bread shape process and technique; (3) ceramics opus form of bread shape visualization. The masterwork produce has some stage that consist of idea, observation, work on opus, and the opus stage. This ceramics opus result expected to discover a new innovation and a new theory which not revealed yet. The result of this opus creation is (1) bread ceramics concept inspired by bread shape, applied to a ceramics opus with value function as table ware property; (2) work on opus that start from shape exploration trough result opus creation with pinching, slab, circle centering, and coiling technique affect writer knowing obstacle and difficulty in ceramics opus with bread shape creation; (3) ceramics opus has a similar bread shape, a combination of dark-brown and white color, such as cup, egg cups, flatware, aroma therapy, and soup bowl.
