Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena yang mengindikasikan ketidakdisiplinan peserta didik kelas awal di sekolah dasar. Temuan empiris menunjukkan bahwa disiplin peserta didik kelas I, II, dan III SD Al Mabrur menujukkan pada tingkat konstruktif, namun mereka belum mampu menunjukkan perilaku disiplin yang diharapkan. Tujuan penelitian adalah menghasilkan program bimbingan konstruktif sebagai salah satu strategi dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan teknik biblioterapi untuk mengembangkan disiplin diri peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan disain studi kuasi eksperimen serta pendekatan gabungan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian terdiri atas empat langkah yaitu, studi pendahuluan, perancangan program, validasi rasional program, dan ujicoba program di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan program bimbingan konstruktif melalui biblioterapi terbukti efektif di kelas I dalam mengembangkan disiplin diri pada indikator membuat aturan bagi diri sendiri pada struktur kognitif komponen disiplin pengembangan perilaku efektif, dan indikator percaya terhadap penilaian diri sendiri pada keyakinan komponen disiplin keinginan yang muncul dari sendiri untuk kepentingan pribadi. Uji efektivitas dengan menggunakan uji F menunjukkan program bimbingan konstruktif melalui teknik biblioterapi efektif untuk mengembangkan disiplin diri peserta didik kelas I, namun kurang efektif untuk kelas II dan kelas III. ;--- The background to the research was the general phenomena indicating elementary student’s indiscipline in the early class. Empirical discovery to show discipline of Al Mabrur students in the 1st grade, the 2nd grade and the 3rd grade demonstrate on the constructive level but they are not able to show discipline behavior as had hoped. The Reseach aimed to produce the constructive guidance program through bibliotherapy as one of learning strategies for develop student’s self-discipline. It employed a design of quasi-experimental study and a mix of quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research is divided into four steps, namely preliminary study, designing the program, rational validity of the program, and field test of the program. Results indicate that the program of constructive guidance to be effective in the 1st grade to develop self-discipline in the indicator to make rules for themselves on the cognitive structure of the discipline component of the development of effective behavioral, and indicator of confidence in the self-assessment on conviction of the discipline component of desire for personal gain. Effectiveness test using F-test proved that the program of constructive guidance through bibliotherapy to be effective for develop self discipline for the 1st grade but not effective for the 2nd grade and the 3rd grade.
