Abstract

Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan serta pengujian filter pasif tipe second order untuk mereduksi harmonisa pada beban rumah tangga, dimana filter pasif merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mereduksi harmonisa. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan filter pasif tipe second order terhadap sistem kelistrikan pada beban rumah tangga serta mengetahui seberapa besar nilai THD dapat tereduksi dengan filter jenis ini. Objek pengukuran yang digunakan pada penelitian ini merupakan beban-beban yang sering kita jumpai sebagai beban rumah tangga diantaranya TV, CPU, laptop beserta chargernya, serta lampu hemat energi dengan berbagai daya, dimana beban-beban tersebut merupakan beban non linear yang memiliki gelombang keluaran yang tidak menyerupai sinusoidal dikarenakan gelombang tersebut mengalami distorsi harmonik. Dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa nilai THD I pada beban total sebesar 73,79% , setelah dilakukan pemasangan filter pasif tipe second order dengan nilai ketajaman Q = 85 didapat nilai THD I sebesar 55,99 % dimana terjadi penurunan nilai yaitu sebanyak 17,80%. Nilai THD I setelah beban dipasang filter masih sangat jauh dari nilai standar IEEE dimana nilai THD I yang diijinkan sebesar 5%, hal tersebut dikarenakan filter pasif yang dirancang hanya bekerja untuk orde ketiga, namun sudah terbukti filter pasif jenis ini mampu mereduksi nilai THD I.;--- In this research, we’re designing and testing the second order passive filter to reduce harmonics in home appliances, which the passive filter is one of the solutions to reduce harmonics. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the second order passive filter types to the electrical system on the home load and find out how much the value of Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) can be reduced. The object of measurement used in this research are the loads that we often seen as a home appliances including a Television, a CPU, a laptop along with a charger, as well as energy-saving lamps with different power, where the loads are a non-linear loads which has a waveform output does not resemble sinusoidal waves due to the distortion harmonics. From this research we knows that the value of currents THD in the total load amounted to 73.79%, after the installation of a second order passive filter with a value of sharpness Q = 85 we got value amounted to 55.99% currents THD where a decline in value that is as much as 17.80% , the currents THD value after the load mounted filter is still very far from the value of the IEEE standard which currents allowed THD value of 5%, it is because passive filters are designed only to work for the third-order, but this research has proven that this type of passive filter can reduce the value of currents THD .
