Abstract
Situasi belajar di SMKN 2 Kota Bandung, khususnya pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik dan Elemen Mesin masih belum optimal. Salah satunya dilihat dari sikap siswa yang pulang dan tidak mengikuti pembelajaran mata pelajaran tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan persepsi siswa terhadap mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik dan Elemen Mesin. Sebagai modalitas guru untuk melakukan kegiatan belajar mengajar yang di lakukan di kelas XII jurusan Teknik Mesin. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Ex-postfacto dengan metode deskripitif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini siswa kelas XII, yang terdiri dari 100 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner yang berbentuk angket tertutup skala guttman. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar persepsi siswa terhadap mata pelajaran mekanika teknik dan elemen mesin sangat baik, hampir setengahnya juga dikatakan baik, dan sebagian kecil dikatakan tidak baik. Adapun hasil persepsi siswa berdasarkan dimensi persepsi, yaitu sebagian besar siswa melakukan seleksi baik dalam proses pembentukan persepsi. Sebagian besar melakukan interpretasi baik dalam pembentukan persepsi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa baik terhadap mata pelajaran, karena persepsi dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain dalam pembentukannya. Ini terjadi karena rentang waktu fenomena yang diamati dengan pengambilan data penelitian cukup lama, karena persepsi tidak tetap, tetapi akan berubah seiring dengan berjalannya waktu yang akan memuat informasi tambahan pada waktu tersebut. Dengan hasil ini guru harus mengarahkan persepsi siswa diawal pembelajaran, agar siswa mempersepsikan mata pelajaran mekanika teknik dan elemen mesin ke arah yang lebih baik.;--- The situation of studying in SMK N 2 Bandung city, particularly on the subjects of Engineering Mechanics and Machine Elements is still not optimal. One seen from the attitude of the students who go home and do not follow the subjects of learning. This study aims to describe the perceptions of students towards subjects of Engineering Mechanics and Machine Elements. As the modalities of teacher to do the teaching and learning activities that are done in class XII Department of mechanical engineering. The research method used was research Ex-postfacto quantitative descriptive methods. The sample of this research grade XII, consisting of 100 people. Data collection techniques used was a questionnaire in the form of the now closed guttman scale. The analysis of the data used is descriptive quantitative techniques. The results showed most of the perceptions of students towards subjects of engineering mechanics and machine element is very good, almost half of it is also said to be good, and the fraction is said to be not good. As for the results of a perception of students based on the dimensions of perception, i.e. most of the students do a good selection in the process of the formation of perception. The vast majority do a good interpretation in the formation of perception. This shows that the perception of the students to the subjects, because perception is affected by other factors in its formation. This happens because the span of the phenomenon observed with data capture research for quite a while, because the perception is not fixed, but will change as time goes by that will contain additional information on that time. With this result the teacher must drive the perception of students in early learning, so that students perceive the subjects of mechanics engineering and machine elements into a better direction.
