Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan proposisi baru tentang pembudayaan nilai-nilai patriotisme di sekolah, dan secara khusus terbagi dalam lima bagian, yaitu; (1) Mendeskripsikan program sekolah dalam melaksanakan pembudayaan nilai-nilai patriotisme terhadap siswa, (2) mendeskripsikan bentuk proses pembudayaan nilai-nilai patriotisme di sekolah, (3) menemukan nilai-nilai patriotisme yang ditumbuhkembangkan di sekolah, (4) menemukan implikasi dari proses pembudayaan nilai-nilai patriotisme terhadap tumbuhnya karakter patriotisme siswa, dan (5) menemukan model pembudayaan nilai-nilai patriotisme yang efektif di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis metode grounded theory. Hasil penelitian berkenaan dengan “Pembudayaan Nilai-nilai Patriotisme di sekolah” dapat dijelaskan sebagai berikut: (1) konten yang tercantum dalam setiap tahapan susunan program sekolah mulai dari analisis strategis, penentuan arah pengembangan, penentuan visi dan misi, sampai penentuan program dan strategi pencapaiannya, telah menunjukan kesesuaian antara yang satu dengan yang lainnya, dan secara runut telah mengakomodasi program pembudayaan nilai-nilai karakter termasuk nilai-nilai patriotisme terhadap siswa. Program pembudayaan nilai-nilai patriotisme di sekolah dilakukan melalui; Mewujudkan budaya dan Iklim sekolah yang kondusif, Integrasi ke dalam setiap mata pelajaran, Integrasi ke dalam setiap kegiatan intra dan ekstrakurikuler, dan melalui penguatan dalam hubungan interpersonal (Keteladanan) (2) proses pembudayaan nilai-nilai Patriotisme di sekolah berlangsung terintgeratif dalam berbagai aktivitas sekolah yang meliputi aktivitas ekstrakurikuler, Intrakurikuler, kokurikuler, dilakukan melalui keteladanan internal dan eksternal, resonansi nilai-nilai kebajikan melalui slogan-slogan dan melalui pengembangan habituasi dan budaya sekolah. (3) nilai-nilai patriotisme yang dibudayakan di sekolah menunjukkan jenis yang beraneka ragam, hal tersebut dikarenakan core value yang ditumbuhkembangkan pada setiap aktivitas sekolah yang bebeda, menunjukan muatan nilai-nilai patriotisme yang berbeda pula. Enam nilai patriotisme (berani, rela berkorban, pantang menyerah, percaya diri, solidaritas sosial dan toleransi.) yang menjadi fokus kajian dalam penelitian ini belum secara komprehensif terlibat dalam proses pembudayaan nilai di sekolah. (4) implikasi pembudayaan nilai-nilai karakter yang bebasis nilai patriotisme, walaupun tidak bersifat menyeluruh, telah tampak membentuk pola sikap dan perilaku yang berindikasikan menguatnya sikap patriotisme pada diri siswa. Terbatasnya implikasi dari proses terebut, dikarenakan belum ditegaskannya nilai-nilai patriotisme di dalam program sekolah sebagai basis nilai karakter yang harus ditumbuhkembangkan. (5) efektivitas proses pembudayaan nilai-nilai patriotisme terhadap siswa dipengaruhi oleh faktor personality dari pendidik, dan jenis model proses pembudayaan nilai-nilai karakter yang diimplementasikan oleh pendidik. Integrative Modeling by directing merupakan model baru yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini. Integrative Modeling by directing adalah model pembudayaan nilai-nilai karakter melalui pemodelan yang terintegrasi (mencakup keteladanan internal dan eksternal dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan) dengan arahan yang intensif dari pelaku pendidik, baik dalam lingkup pendidikan informal, formal, maupun nonformal ke arah tujuan akhir yang ideal. Tindakan mengarahkan dalam model ini adalah upaya menjelaskan, menunjukan, menentukan arah tujuan ideal pembelajaran, dan memberi penghargaan dan hukuman (Reward and funishment) secara proporsional. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan, Integrative Modeling by directing (IMD) efektif dalam membudayakan nilai-nilai patriotisme terhadap siswa di sekolah ;--- This study aims to find new proposition about the civilizing of patriotism values in school, and specifically it is divided into five sections, namely; (1) Describing the school program in implementing civilizing patriotism values to students, (2) Describing the process of civilizing patriotism values in schools, (3) Finding the patriotism values fostered in school, (4) Finding the implications of the civilizing process of patriotism values towards the growth of students’ patriotism characters, and (5) Finding the model of an effective civilizing patriotism values in school. This study uses a qualitative approach with grounded theory method. The result of the study relating to "The civilizing of patriotism value in schools" can be explained as follows: (1) The content stated in each phase of school programs starting from strategic analysis, determining the direction of development, determining mission and vision, and determining program and strategic achievement, has shown close relationship among one phase and the others, and sequentially it has accommodated the program of civilizing character values, including the patriotism values towards students. Program of civilizing patriotism values in schools is done through; creating conducive school climate, integrating into every subject, integrating into every intra and extra-curricular activities, strengthening culture and habituation-conditioning in school, and strengthening intrapersonal relations (modeling), (2) The process of civilizing patriotism values in school is integrated in variety of school activities that include extracurricular, intra-curricular, co-curricular activities conducted through internal and external modelling, resonating wise values through slogans and through developing of habituation or school culture. (3) The patriotism values civilized in schools shows diverse types because the core value that is cultivated in each school activity is different, it also shows different content of patriotism values. The six patriotism values (brave, self-sacrificing, unyielding, confidence, social solidarity and tolerance) which become the focus of this study, have not been comprehensively involved in the process of value acculturation in schools. (4) The implication of patriotism value based civilizing character, although it is not exhaustive, has formed attitude and behavior patterns indicated by students’ patriotism. The process implication is limited because there is no clear patriotism value in school programs as a base of characters that must be developed. (5) the effectiveness of the civilizing patriotism values to the students influenced by the personality of the educator, and the type of models civilizing character values that are implemented by educators. Integrative Modeling by Directing (IMD) is a new model that is found in this study. Integrative Modeling by directing is a model of civilizing character values through integrative modeling (includes internal and external model in the implementation of education) with the intensive direction from the actors of educators, well within the scope of informal, formal and nonformal education towards the ideal final destination. Directing action in this model is an attempt to explain, showing, determining the direction of the ideal goal of learning, and giving the reward and punishment (Reward and funishment) proportionately. The results of the study explains, Integrative Modeling by directing (IMD) is effective in civilizing of patriotism values to students in the school
