Abstract

Percaya diri dan penghargaan terhadap diri merupakan aspek kepribadian penting untuk dikembangkan pada peserta didik, tidak terkecuali peserta didik Tunalaras yang sering dikaitkan dengan prestasi belajar rendah yang tidak sesuai dengan kemampuan yang dimiliki. Seperti yang kita ketahui percaya diri mampu membawa peserta didik kedalam kesuksesan baik akademik maupun diluar akademik. Seperti yang peneliti temukan di lapangan, dimana peserta didik cenderung pasif, kurang antusias, enggan bertindak, tidak kritis dan cenderung bersikap tertutup pada saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Dalam penelitian ini faktor yang paling dominan yang menjadi masalah yang harus diatasi adalah rendahnya percaya diri peserta didik kelas II SLB E Bhina Putera Surakarta. Peneliti menggunakan strategi pembelajaran CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) sebagai variabel yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan percaya diri peserta didik. Strategi tersebut kemudian dikembangkan dan disusun menjadi sebuah rancangan pembelajaran tematik untuk peserta didik. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian Pre-Experimental Design, One Group Pretest-Postets. Data hasil penelitian diolah menggunakan teknik statistiknon-parametrik yaitu tes Korelasi Spearman. Berdasarkan pengolahan data didapatkan hasil terdapat hubungan antara dua variabel yang dikorelasikan meskipun korelasinya tidak signifikan, angaka positif (+) menandakan adanya kolerasi sejajar searah. Makin besar angka dalam indeks korelasi maka semakin tinggi pula korelasi dua variabel yang dikorelasikan. Sedangkan kenaikan presentase percaya diri peserta didik adalah sebesar 12,96% setelah dilakukan 6 kali perlakuan. Peneliti berharap penelitian ini mampu memberikan gambaran strategi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik di SLB E Bhina Putera Surakarta. Peneliti juga berharap nantinya strategi ini dapat terus dikembangkan dan diberlakukan secara konsisten.;--- Self-confidence and self-esteem are the personality aspects that important to developed on children, including children with emotional and behavior disorder (tunalaras) that are often associated with low learning achievement that inappropriate with their capabilities. Yet as we all know, self-confidence is able to bring children into academic success both in and outside the academic. As the author founds, are tend to be passive, less enthusiastic, are reluctant to act, not critical and tend to be closed during the learning process takes place. In this study, the main problem to be solved is the low self-confidence of children grade II SLB E Bhina Putera Surakarta. Researchers use learning strategies CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) as a variable that is expected to improve the confidence of children. This strategy will be developed and compiled into a thematic learning draft for children. This research was conducted using research methods Pre-Experimental Design, one group pretest-posttest. The data was processed using non-parametric statistical techniques, the Spearman correlation test. Based on the results of data processing, there is a relationship between two variables that correlated although the correlation is not significant, positive number (+) indicates the direction of the parallel correlation. The greater the number in correlation index, the higher the correlation of the two variables that are correlated. There is also a rise in the percentage of children's self-confidence amounted to 12.96% after 6 times of treatment. The author hopes that this study could give an idea of learning strategies that are appropriate to the children's needs in SLB E Bhina Putera Surakarta. The author also hopes this strategy can be developed and applied consistently.
