Abstract

Keaktifan belajar berperan penting dalam pencapaian tujuan dan hasil belajar yang memadai dalam proses belajar mengajar. Hasil studi pendahuluan diperoleh bahwa keaktifan belajar di SMPN 6 dalam studi pendahuluan dari 60 siswa tidak terdapat siswa yang keaktifan belajar pada kategori tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh metode discovery learning terhadap keaktifan belajar siswa kelas VII tahun ajaran 2015-2016 di SMPN 6 Banda Aceh. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Ms. Excel dan SPSS (Statistic Program for Social and Science). Hasil penelitiaan menunjukan bahwa gambaran umum keaktifan belajar siswa kelas VII SMPN 6 Banda Aceh termasuk pada katagori sedang. Berdasarkan analisis data ditemukan terdapat perbedaan pengaruh keaktifan belajar kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol secara signifikan. ;--- Learning activeness is important in achieving the objectives and adequate learning outcomes in teach and learn. The initial result of experiment gain that learning activeness at SMPN 6 in a preliminary study of 60 students, none of student have Learning Activeness in high level. This researce is aimed to assess the effect of discovery learning methods regarding of the activeness of students of Class 7th from Shool Year 2015-2016 at SMPN 6 Banda Aceh. The approach was used a quantitative method with quasi-experimental design. The analyses were performed using softwares Ms. Excel and SPSS (Statistics Programme for Social and Science). The results showed that the general description of the activeness learning of students of class VII SMPN 6 Banda Aceh included in the category medium level. Based on data analysis there are influence differencess of learning activeness experimental and control groups significantly.
