Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya fakta empirik kebutuhan pengembangan model bimbingan untuk mengembangkan akhlak mulia mahasiswa. Sebagian mahasiswa menunjukkan perilaku oposisional terhadap nilai, norma dan moral bangsa yang mengarah pada kemerosotan akhlak. Untuk itu dibutuhkan bimbingan supaya akhlak mulia mahasiswa dapat berkembang optimal sehingga tujuan utuh pendidikan nasional tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan model bimbingan berorientasi profetik untuk mengembangkan akhlak mulia mahasiswa. Prosedur pengembangan dilakukan melalui studi literatur, asesmen kebutuhan, validasi isi melalui sejumlah pakar, validasi empirik oleh konselor perguruan tinggi dan uji efektivitas melalui eksperimen. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan research and development (R&D). Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) bimbingan berorientasi profetik (BBP) menjadi kebutuhan untuk dikembangkan; (2) pengembangan BBP telah sesuai dengan pandangan para pakar dan praktisi serta memenuhi standar kelayakan suatu model; (3) bimbingan berorientasi profetik terbukti efektif untuk mengembangkan empat dari lima dimensi akhlak mulia, yakni: cinta Allah, menjaga keseimbangan hidup dunia dan akhirat, mengendalikan hawa nafsu dan cinta ilmu. Sedangkan satu dimensi lainnya, yakni: kepedulian sosial terbukti tidak efektif. Karena BBP terbukti efektif dalam pengembangan sebagian besar dimensi akhlak mulia mahasiswa, maka hasil penelitian ini layak dipertimbangkan untuk diimplementasikan secara lebih luas. ;---This research is motivated by the empirical fact that the development of guidance model to build up students’ noble character is needed. Some students showed oppositional behavior against the values, norms and moral nation that leads to demoralization. Therefore, it is required to develop a guidance program to build up students’ noble characters so that the whole purpose of national education can be achieved. This research aimed to develop a model of prophetic-oriented guidance to build up students’ noble character. The procedure of the development was conducted by literature review, needs assesment, content validation by some Delphy experts, empirical validation by college conselors and effectiveness test by experiments. Research method used in this study was research and development (R&D) approach. The findings show that: (1) a prophetic-oriented guidance is a need to be developed; (2) The development of the prophetic-oriented guidance is correspond to the view of experts and practicioners and has fulfill standard of eligibility of a model; (3) The prophetic-oriented guidence is proven to be effective to build up four of five dimensions of noble character, namely: love Allah, maintain the balance of life and hereafter, control the carnality, and love knowledge. While one dimension, that is social care is proven not effective. For the reason that prophetic-oriented guidence is proven to be effective in developing most of students’ noble character dimensions, accordingly the result of this study is eligible for consideration to be implemeted broadly.
