Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa dan menciptakan pola lantai dalam mata pelajaran seni tari melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran discovery learning.. Lokasi penelitian berlangsung di SMP Negeri 14 Bandung di JL. Supratman. Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan peserta didik kelas VIII. Sampel dalam penelitian ini merupakan siswa kelas VIII-B dengan jumlah 40 orang. Adapun jenis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan tujuannya yaitu jenis metode Penelitian Terapan. Berdasarkan metodenya yaitu penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Eksperimen Berdasarkan kealamiahannya yaitu penelitian ini menggunakan Pendekatan Kuantitatif dengan menggunakan bentuk penelitian Pre-Experimental Designs (One-Group Pretest-Postest Design), karena tidak adanya kelas pembanding dan peneliti hanya memberikan sebuah penerapan model pembelajaran pada satu kelompok/ satu kelas saja, yaitu kelas VIII-B yang di anggap kelas yang unggulan daripada kelas lainnya, dilihat dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan peneliti sebelum dilakukanya penerapan model discovery learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan kreativitas belajar siswa kelas VIII-B SMPN 14 Bandung. Hal tersebut terbukti dalam pelaksanaan penelitian yaitu peningkatan skor pretest dari rata-rata 6,7 menuju skor posttest rata-rata 8,6. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa, aplikasi model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan kreativitas siswa dan menciptakan pola lantai baru dalam pembelajar Seni Tari. ;---This research study aims to increase the students’ creativity and to create floor pattern in dance art subjects through the discovery learning methods. The location of this research is located at State Junior High School 14 Bandung in Supratman Street. The population of this research is the student of eighth grade. The sample of this study is the student of VIII-B with the number of 40 people. The method which is used in this research is based on it aims, which is applied research methods. Based on its methods, this research used experiment method.Based on its naturalness, this research used quantitative approach by using Pre-Experimental Designs (One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design),because there are no class to be compared and the researcher just give an application of learning methods to one group. VIII-B is considered a superior class than other classes, judging from the results of observations conducted by researchers before the execution of the application model of discovery learning. The findings show that there is a significant enhancement through the enhancement of the students’ creativity of study in the class of VIII-B State Junior High School 14 Bandung. It is proved in the implementation of the research which shows the enhancement of the average of pretest score from 6,7 to the average of posttest score 8,6. Then, it could be concluded that the discovery learning application model could increase the creativity of student and create a new floor pattern of the dance art student.
