Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa pada mata pelajaran jaringan dasar di salah satu SMK Negeri Kota Cimahi. Hal ini dikarenakan metode yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran masih konvensional dan media yang digunakan hanya powerpoint dan papan tulis. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi hal tersebut yaitu menerapkan pembelajaran menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis game dengan inquiry training model. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) mengetahui rancang bangun multimedia pembelajaran berbasis game dengan inquiry training model pada mata pelajaran jaringan dasar, 2) mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran jaringan dasar, dan 3) mengetahui respon siswa terhadap multimedia pembelajaran berbasis game dengan inquiry training model. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang terdiri dari tahap analisis, tahap desain, tahap pengembangan, tahap implementasi dan tahap penilaian. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMK yang berjumlah 32 orang. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dengan menerapkan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis game yaitu: 1) multimedia pembelajaran berhasil dikembangkan dan dinyatakan layak dengan kategori “sangat baik” berdasarkan penilaian ahli media sebesar 87,03% dan ahli materi sebesar 85.2%, 2) implementasi multimedia pembelajaran berbasis game dengan ITM dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan indeks gain sebesar 0,8. 3) hasil analisis respon siswa terhadap multimedia pembelajaran berbasis game mendapatkan hasil “sangat baik” dengan rata-rata sebesar 82,8%. Kata Kunci : Multimedia Pembelajaran, Inquiry Training Model (ITM), Pemahaman Konsep The low level learning concept of the student on the subject of basic networking in one of The Public Vocational Secondary School (SMKN) of Cimahi has become the research background. The reason itself due to the method that has been used by the teachers for many years in learning is still considered conventional with PowerPoint and blackboard as the solely media. The only way to overcome this issue which is by implementing Multimedia Learning Game Based with Inquiry Training Model. The aims of the research are 1) knowing design of Multimedia Learning Game Based With Inquiry Training Model on the subject of basic networking, 2) knowing the level of understanding of the students on the subject of basic networking 3) knowing the students’ response on Multimedia Learning Game Based with Inquiry Training Model. The method that is used on the research are research method and development as follows Analysis phase, design phase, deployment phase, implementation phase and assessment phase. The participants of the research are 32 students in 10th grade. The obtained results by implementing The Multimedia Learning Game Based are: 1) The Multimedia Learning successfully improved and declared eligible by the category of "excellent" by media expert assessment by 87.03% and 85.2% of material experts, 2) The Implementation of Multimedia Learning Game Based with ITM can enhance students’ understanding concept with gain index 0.8 3) The result of student analysis response towards Multimedia Learning Game Based get result “Very Good” with an average of 82.8%.
