Abstract
Penelitian ini beranjak dari kerisauan tentang krisis jati diri yang melanda para pelajar sebagai generasi muda harapan bangsa yang tidak menunjukkan sikap sebagai warga negara yang baik. Perilaku mereka banyak yang meniru-niru budaya luar yang tidak sesuai dengan norma yang berlaku di masyarakat. Penelitian ini mengkaji upaya memantapkan jati diri siswa sebagai warga negara yang baik dalam pendidikan karakter dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler rohis. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus di SMP Negeri 18 Jakarta. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, studi dokumentasi dan studi literatur. Penelitian ini melibatkan kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru Pkn, Pembina dan pelatih Rohis dan anggota yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler rohis. Temuan penelitian ini menjekaskan bahwa (1) persepsi warga sekolah tentang kegiatan ekstrakurikuler rohis sangat positif, karena dapat membantu para siswa menjadi manusia yang religius, jujur, bertakwa kepada tuhan yang maha esa; (2) bentuk pembinaan karakter melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler rohis dengan diadakan latihan dasar kepemimpinan, adanya pangajian rutin, dan program baca tulis Al-Qur’an (3) hambatan pembinaan karakter melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler rohis yaitu, dana operasional kegiatan yang sering terlambat, fasilitas yang pas-pasan, sarana masih kurang, peralatan masih perlu dilengkapi, masih perlu menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan Pembina dan pelatih, kurangnya dorongan dan dukungan orang tua bagi siswa untuk mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler; (4) mengatasi hambatan pembinaan karakter melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler rohis yaitu, dengan terus menerus pembinaan siswa secara berkelanjutan adanya bimbingan siswa melalui sosialisasi ulang baik dari pihak sekolah maupun pihak orangtua. Peneliti merekomendasikan bagi pihak sekolah terutama untuk kepala sekolah di SMP Negeri 18 Jakarta adalah perekrutan tenaga Pembina atau pelatih ekstrakurikuler harus benar-benar selektif agar menghasilkan yang terbaik, dan tidak ada istilah pemerataan tugas guru untuk mengelola ekstrakurikuler, hanya mereka yang benar-benar memiliki latar belakang dan kemampuan di masing-masing bidang yang dapat menjadi Pembina atau pelatih.;--- The research is started from the identity crisis that hit the students as the younger generation as the hope nation that does not show the attitude as good citizens. Their behavior much imitate culture from outside which do not comply with the norms in force in the community. This study examines efforts to solidify the identity of students as good citizens in character education in extracurricular activities ROHIS. This is a qualitative research approach with the method of case study in 18th junior high school Jakarta. Research data is collected through observations, in-depth interviews, literature studies and documentation study. This research involves the school principal, vice principal, PKn teacher, Rohis adviser and the members who follow the extracurricular ROHIS. This study explain that (1) the perception of the citizens about the activities of ROHIS extracurricular is very positive, because it can help students become honest, religious and piety to God Almighty; (2) the form of the construction of the characters through extracurricular activities ROHIS with held basic exercises leadership, the routine religic study, the read and wrote the Qur'an program (3) the resistor to the construction of the characters through extracurricular activities are the fund operational that are often late, the lacking equipment, the knowledge and skills of coach and trainer, the lack of parental support and encouragement for students to participate in extracurricular activities; (4) to overcoming obstacles through ROHIS extracurricular activities by continuously coaching students on an ongoing basis the existence of guidance the students through repeated good socialization of the school and the parents. Researchers recommend on behalf of schools primarily for 18th Junior High Schol Jakarta the recruitment Advisor or coach extracurricular should really be selective in order to produce the best, nor is the term equitable assignment of teachers to manage extracurricular activities, only those who actually have the background and skills in their respective fields which can be a Coach or trainer.
